I've been looking for some older (pre-US distribution) Dragonball and One Piece WCF figures and sets on ebay and was wondering how to tell if they're legit (not bootlegs). I know about the Toei sticker, but other than that I have no idea what to look for as I've always bought the US releases of them. I was looking at a seller that has certain complete One Piece sets for as low as $50 which seems incredibly cheap considering they go for $15 each here. The same seller also has the new Anniversary Dragonball sets and other newer Dragonball ones for around $100, and some of the first One Piece sets for $300+. I'd really like to fill in my collection with some classics as recently Funimation/Barnes and Noble/Hot Topic/etc has been importing a bunch of Blue God Super stuff that I don't particularly care for.
Nobody seems to talk about WCF so I'd appreciate any help with them.

maybe the sets he's selling for 50$ are used, I do the same since I'm selling my One Piece WCFs and got it on shelf some time and now back to box. And the ones for 300$+ may be are mint.

I don't think the 30th anni DBZ WCF have been bootlegged yet. I got my set of 6 (DB running ones... Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Roshi, Tao, Bulma) for about $85 in early December from Japan.
Bootlegs of the older DWC/WCF are hard to find, particularly with boxes. The only set of bootlegs with boxes I've ever gotten was the wedding Chi Chi and Goku, and I knew they were bootlegs when I bought them. They lack the sticker.
The battle of gods and some of the relatively recent bootlegs from the last few years have had boxes too. I haven't bought any of them, because I just don't care for them, and their prices are too high for bootlegs.

Also, all of his photos have stickers. The only bootlegs I've ever seen were the Ressurection of F Vol.1 in a store and they all had boxes that lacked the sticker as well. I've been hearing about fake stickers online recently and that spooked me, but maybe that's too sophisticated for the smaller figures like these. maybe the sets he's selling for 50$ are used, I do the same since I'm selling my One Piece WCFs and got it on shelf some time and now back to box. And the ones for 300$+ may be are mint. Hmm... that's what I thought at first, but he seems to have multiples of many of the sets and they're all advertised as new. Anyway, thanks to both of you for the input. I'm going to try for one of the cheaper One Piece sets first just to make sure everything goes okay, and then perhaps move on to some Dragon Ball. Update: They're all brand new, legitimate figures!
