Yeah, it's strange and disappointing there's no evidence of Orange Piccolo. I would definitely buy him for my collection. I've searched pretty deep with Google looking for evidence of one, but haven't found anything. On a related note, I contacted Bandai Play, because I could not find any photos of Dragon Ball figures at Anime Expo (which was a few days ago). (Moreover, I struggled to find ANY photos from Bandai's non-Tamashii display from Anime Expo, but that's a failure on the part of social media (people being more private about their posts and/or not typing "Anime Expo" and "Bandai" or "Dragon Ball" into their post in Facebook groups... but that frustration is taking me off topic). I contacted Bandai Play, and while they didn't answer my question properly, they gave me the impression that they didn't even have any DB stuff on display. In one of the previous years, Anime Expo was how we got a look at the upcoming DB Evolve figures. I was hoping to see upcoming Dragon Stars or DB Evolve figures in pics or videos, but I haven't seen anything relevant in what little I can actually find. I don't have a TikTok, so I didn't look there. SDCC is July 20-23, so I hope that some saint will take a video for YouTube or post good pictures on Facebook and tag them appropriately so we can share them and find them. I'm sure Bandai Play will show upcoming figures at it. I was at Anime Expo, that's correct, no DragonBall on display that I can recall. They had an Anime Heroes exhibit and store with all of the Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Jujutsu Kaisen, etc, displayed both in-box and posed. They were selling the 2022 event exclusive there. I didn't buy it just because... 2022. They also had the Narutos out in the Narutop99 exhibit, and the new figure was Jiraiya (Anime Heroes, not the Figuarts Exclusive). For some reason, Dragonball always ends up at Comic Con and usually gets ignored at Anime Expo. I'm sure you already know, but the Tamashii display did have the newer Dragonballs (Yamcha, Vegeta Blue, Goku effect parts, Trunks, and one or two others).

zarbon thank you for confirming! I'm thrilled to know that there wasn't any DB on display! I couldn't get a firm answer out of Bandai's social media person.

SS2 Goku is on Bandai's website today! I like that they included a halo! Just looks like a head difference on the Dragon Stars 2.0 SS Goku body though, but it could just be an early prototype.

Yeah, definitely just a headswap on the old 2.0 Goku body rather than the Super Hero version. Main reason I can think of is because the belt fits the Buu arc appearance better.

Majin Vegeta is on Bandai's website now. www.bandai.com/brands/dragon-ball-super/dragon-stars/majin-vegetaI cannot remember Bandai's website ever being the first place we ever saw photos of a Dragon Stars figure before, so I'm surprised that it was the first place we found SS2 Goku. I still can't find anything online about the next wave of Dragon Ball Evolve.

SDCC should be soon, perhaps they'll be on display there, but then we have to have someone care enough to actually go through the Bandai America part of the booths, they always just focus on the imports

Yeah, I am confident we'll see them on display there, and hopefully Evolve as well. It's in a week. But yeah, we will be dependent on someone actually going to their booth. In past years, I have specifically asked people to go there, and it gets annoying that I can't just passively view pics from there. It's always just Tamashii stuff...

I'm glad they finally made a Majin Vegeta. I'm hoping they'll eventually make a battle damaged one. There's a severe lack of Trunks is this line though. They haven't made any DBZ Trunks yet. I'd love Super Saiyan one with a ponytail.

The lack of a Trunks outside of the DBS version is a bit strange indeed. He has almost as many possible releases as Goku, Gohan and Vegeta can put out.

Bandai Namco Play's Dragon Stars Piccolo from the Piccolo vs. Gamma 2 Battle Pack scales pretty well as a Power Awakening Piccolo with 5 inch scale figures like Irwin, Jakks, and Bandai's Dragon Ball Evolve line of figures. All he needs is the belt painted black and skin painted yellowish. He's a little bit large for Piccolo in his base form (with 5 inch scale figures). Gamma 2 is HUGE for 5 inch scale, so hopefully Bandai produces Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 in the Dragon Ball Evolve line of figures. We still need a Dragon Stars Orange Piccolo to be made. Why hasn't anyone ever pointed out that the Battle Packs come with really nice background art? You can buy this battle pack on Amazon: amzn.to/3t8QkL2
