I love these but am having trouble finding them from the states. Outside of eBay, does anyone know where I can find these without having to go through some kind of shipping service like FROMJAPAN?

Release in North America is about 2-3 months after the Japanese release. It sucks, but you can just wait and find them from sellers in the US. The only major retailer of these that I'm aware of in the US is Barnes and Nobel. You might be able to special order them if a local one of yours doesn't have them in stock. I'm lucky enough to have a figure shop near me, but their prices are higher than I can get from Japanese sellers, which is why I don't usually buy from them.

Oh, I'm no stranger to the figure release process in general. I've purchased a lot from Banpresto, usually online from places like Amazon or AmiAmi. Sometimes I find them in local shops near me and the prices are reasonable, but it's usually cheaper on Amazon so I typically go that route (I don't mind the wait). However, these two figures in particular I haven't seen listed anywhere that I usually look. They're not on AmiAmi and usually they would be available for pre-order on Amazon by this time, but nothing so far. They're available on eBay where I could have, and should have, purchased them for a reasonable price, but instead, I used FROMJAPAN to order off of amazon.co.jp, and I will never do that again. I wound up grabbing these two, the ROS Vegeta figure, and this nifty Karin teapot. The thing is, I thought I was going to be getting a pretty good deal given that the prices are so much cheaper on amazon.co.jp, but then FROMJAPAN's shipping charge hit (for anyone not familiar, the shipping charge arrives after the items you've already ordered and paid for have been shipped to and received by the FROMJAPAN distribution center, so you're pretty much screwed at that point if the shipping is astronomical, which it is). I was also worried that they just wouldn't be showing up on Amazon or AmiAmi at all, so I went ahead and ordered them. But, oh well. I've learned my very, very expensive lesson and will go with eBay next time.

What Ketchup means is that they won't be listed through U.S. retailers yet. That includes Amazon. The same thing happens with literally every new figure release. Wait a few months and they will be on Amazon. There is nothing different about these figures.

Wait a few months and they will be on Amazon. There is nothing different about these figures. Guys, I know what you mean. I appreciate the help and I'm sure you're right and that the figures will eventually appear on Amazon. However, these figures are different from other figures I've purchased so far in that there isn't even a pre-order listing for them on Amazon yet. Every other figure I've dealt with has been available for pre-order on Amazon before they were even released in Japan. For example, right now Mr. Satan is available for pre-order and he hasn't even been released in Japan yet. The figures from Banpresto, specifically, all seem to follow this pattern, so all I'm saying is that it's weird that these two Goku and Krillin figures don't even have a pre-order listing on Amazon yet. This is just going from my own past experiences. Many others have more experience that me in this field and have probably seen situations similar to this one many times over. I didn't mean to "sound the alarm" and come off as some sort of panicked fool. I was just pointing out that it's weird to me and was wondering if there were other sites where I could find them for pre-order locally. Again, the main reason I ordered through FROMJAPAN is that I thought I was going to be getting a much better deal. That was decidedly not the case and I should have just ordered them from eBay or waited for them to show up on Amazon. But, oh well, you live and you learn. On the bright side, I'll be getting them much quicker.

I think this is exactly the point we're trying to make. I haven't seen listings so early for several Banpresto/Bandai figures in the past. No worries.

Just bought Goku and Krilin together, now i need their master Looks like that soft vinyl figure from Shia Hauls' video scales pretty darn well with these two, I would try to track one of those down. Alternatively, you could wait until Vol. 2 is released: They look great, but it doesn't look like Roshi will scale very well with the others. I might pick up that Oolong, though.

I received mine today and I absolutely love them. There aren't enough quality figures of these two from the early Dragon Ball days, in my opinion, and these are my favorite ones yet. Sure enough, they've started popping up on Amazon now. Only from third party sellers, and for as much or more than I paid, so I don't feel so bad about using FROMJAPAN anymore. Plus, I received mine quicker, so there's that. Sure, they might go down in price later, especially if/when Amazon starts selling them directly, but for now let's just pretend that won't happen and that I'm a genius. However, I have sadly fallen victim to a couple manufacturing defects. My Krillin is fine, but my Goku has some paint blemishes and excess glue stuck to him. I've seen paint defects before, but I've never seen gobs of glue just hanging around a figure like this. Any ideas on how to fix these? Here are a couple photos of what I'm talking about: PAINT DEFECTS: It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but there is some black paint smear right by the pupil of his right eye. You can also clearly see the yellow paint below his right shoulder, and there is some white paint on his right eyebrow, but those don't bother me as much, believe it or not. It's not as bad in the picture, but the black eye paint really bugs me. Any safe ideas on how to remove it? EXCESS GLUE: I couldn't get the damn camera to focus specifically on the end of his Nyoibou very well, but you can still see the gob of glue that I'm talking about. Again, I've never encountered this before. How can I safely remove it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
