This makes me incredibly happy! There hadn't been any new news on the Figure-Rise line in so long, I figured the worst had happened and it had quietly been cancelled. I am curious as to what this "New Spec" line does to the standard line though? I really hope it's not the end of it as I have fallen in love with the standards. I mean the "New Spec" does look lightyears better, but I really don't feel like spending money on characters I've already built.

And on the first day of 2023, I completed the same number of Figure Rise kits as I did in all of 2022!  Granted, that's not hard to do when I only built Bardock at the end of April last year, but I pulled out Final Form Frieza from my stash of kits and finally put him together. I wasn't sure if I'd like him since he's a smaller figure, but I think he turned out great! The only real nitpicks I have is that he really needs a stand to keep him upright, but his tail can be used in certain poses to help keep him balanced, and when trying to put him in certain poses, his torso pops off his lower body too easily. Otherwise, the stickers weren't too bad to apply and his smaller frame doesn't really bug me as much as I thought it would. ** I got a new phone in October, so hopefully they're better quality than my older photos since this phone is six years newer.  ** Final Form FriezaCustomary before pictures.   Completed kit with all the included accessories.  Showing off his favorite attack, "The kill Krillin special!"  "And just because I like you Earthlings so much, I'm going to give you five more minutes!" (And in anime-terms, this will amount to 13ish days.)  "Just kidding! Let's make it 10 more minutes!"  If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!  Do the Macarena!  "I'm so judging this poster."  "I hate Christmas! Say goodbye to this puny tree!"  "As well as this pesky reindeer!"  - - - - - - - - - - And since our one-year old family dog was inquisitive, here's a few pictures of him investigating what I'm doing.    |

Depending on the final product, I might. Thankfully, it looks like those pictures on Instagram are just 3D renders, so hopefully they improve Vegeta's face. If not, then it'll be an easy pass for me.

The face does look a little derpy, but I think that’s a common trait in a lot of Vegeta action figures/model kits lol

awww man, just picked this up at a target, pics dont do it justice. love the figure rise series, wish they release more, it makes for good customs. |
