Hello all!
Need some help on this one. This was bought (in the blue, "tube" type package) at a gamestop during the time when this series of movie collection figures came out. As you can see, Goku's name isn't on the chest...nor are there any Capsule Corp logos on the suit. What I found even more odd, is there isn't any cutouts on the bottom of the feet to show the year and other info that all the other figures have. I have yet to see another one like this.
Thank you for any info

It's a paint test prototype. As far as I know it wasn't released commercially. I have some of these that started coming out of China back when these figures were first released. They were done to test the silver paint on these figures and even though they are just paint tests they made quite a few of them. They sold on Ebay for a while.

Oh wow, great! Thank you very much for your information!! It's been really hard for me to find anything on this. I'm not as "search savvy" as I'd like to be lol. Would you happen to know what they were being sold at the last time you saw one for sale on ebay?

Prototype figures are hard to price as they're usually "one of a kind" items. There are, however, collectors who are dedicated to collecting these prototypes and sometimes are willing to pay quite a bit for these items. One things to keep in mind; there are less collectors of prototypes than there are regular figure and thusly so, your figure is only worth as much as the few people who collect these are willing to pay.

Haven't seen one sell since it originally came out. Back then they were $30-$100. No idea if they've gone up or down since then.

I had the Cooler test paint one from the very set that Goku you have is a part of. I still have him somewhere, but he somehow fell off a shelf and his foot broke off. I was so bummed, he was the one of a kind guy that I had in my collection of those figures, and mine had to fall and break. Gosh I hadn't even remembered that until I saw this thread just now. That was so long ago.
