By any chance is there any Pokemon collectors in here? To be more specific, people who collect PSA graded Pokemon cards?

I collect some Pokemon figures, but I haven't collected Pokemon cards since the 90's. Go on ebay and look up "Pokemon PSA". I didn't start collecting them again until like three years ago. Cards have shot up in value and incredible amount! Some cards worth hundreds or even thousands now. It's an fun, though expensive hobby lol

Yeah, I've seen some of the prices. I used to have a 1st Edition Charizard from the Fossil set. I think it's pretty pricey nowadays.

I collect pokemon But mostly Tomy figures, Metal figures and some plushes. If you are really into it, there is a Pokemon community one live journal, they have many members that sell a lot of pokemon merchandise, its very safe to buy from, they have very stricked rules when people sell and buy things there. I been buying pokemon stuff from them for about 2 and a half years. I can post the link if your interested in looking into it. Members often sell rare things from japan and stuff for cheaper than ebay, sometimes things you wont even be able to find on ebay. Another good thing is its very alive and active as well

I used to have a lot of Pokemon stuff, but sold most of it years ago. I have gotten back into it recently though and bought a few things. I want to start collecting the cards again, but I don't know whether to start with the newest set and work my way backwards or start with the base set(which I used to own the complete set of ).

You should collect cards from the base set all the way to the skyridge set. Those were the original wizards of the coast sets. If you want to keep it original . Theres no right way to start it, just start collecting any you can from any of those sets between base and skyridge. What I did when i first started collecting was just buying PSA 9's from have since then only bought 10's now since they're value stays the highest. But only 9's and 10's is what i recommend buying.

Grading collector cards is for nerds! Just saying...
Thanks for reminding me to dust off my folder and take a gander. Looks like I went through a random Pokemon phase that I completely forgot about. It would seem that I did actually complete my collection after all. I've got all 151, including all altenates from jungle and fossil sets and all trainer cards, in mint condition. Good job younger me!

I have some decks and tins from the newer sets that I bought to use in the Online TCG, and I think the booster boxes aren't yet crazy expensive when the set first comes out, so those would be the reasons for starting with the newer sets first. Might try to complete the first few sets first though since those are the ones I used to own. I don't really care about graded cards, first editions, or Japanese cards so that limits it down a bit at least.
