Hey there everyone. I'm going to use this as a thread to start posting my work in progress shots of my various sculpts I plan to do. As a quick setup, I work in a wax based clay called Castilene. I plan on doing a series of DBZ sculpts for myself to pad out my collection with characters/poses I feel are lacking proper equivalents. First up is Cooler. Spent two evenings just kinda roughing him out so far. So nothing is refined yet. If you are an accuracy purist, you probably aren't going to like my sculpts. Attachment Deleted

That is looking awesome monolithic. Can't wait to see your progression. I've never used Castilene before..do you need to heat it to sculpt with?

I'll try to put up something tomorrow when I'm further along. The sort of process I use with it simplified is use a heat lamp to warm it up and it becomes like a putty, put in the general shape I want and then once it cools it gets hard enough to carve.
