Someone on facebook was talking about 3d priniting the space pod and asking howmuch people would pay. Everyone was saying $150 would be fair. How is that fair?? I dont get figuart fangirls. $150 for 3d printing soimething that big makes 0 sense to me. You guys spend $200 on 5 inch figures like no ones buisness but wont even hit $200 for a massive homemade prop ship?? idgi How much would it cost him to print each one? Are we talking painted or unpainted? Would it be hollow and need to be assembled? Would it be shipped pre assembled if assembly is required?
These are all things you must consider when estimating a price for that.

The process is very expensive and time consuming. I think people just assume because its called printing that its as simple as that but a good machine and the actual resin are very expensive not to mention the post printing work you have to do combined with the actual setting up the equipment. Depending on the scale its possible he is breaking even at that price.

He is saying that he doesn't get how people would pay $200 for a small figure but wont pay more than $150 for something so big.

That is way too over priced. A 3d detailed armored faeora from man of steel 1/6 painted including head sculpt is about 500 bucks. this ship is a lot simpler. 200 tops painted. if he gets about 30 customers if he gets less then 250$.

Last year they were left with cases of Vegeta, I assume they just went by last years folly this time. However instead of a crappy 1 episode color variant they had one of the most important versions of the main character in the entire series. Whoops! I never understand why toy companies constantly make mistakes like this. There's things that are obviously going to be big sellers, and things that are obvious niche items. Do they not know anything about the property they're dealing with?

Do they not know anything about the property they're dealing with? Wouldn't be surprised if they know about it. Just like Nappa and the other figs we are waiting on, they might make a small single prop and see how that sells before committing to making a run of the capsule. I agree this would be pretty genius, but like most businesses, they need the proof in the sales of a smaller less investment to prove first. Isnt that partly the motivation behind Broly, to test if big guys sell? Hopefully Tamashii knows Nappa would be a big hit. Coot

So Toyz just posted to their Instagram comments that they "Haven't received a shipment yet" of SDCC Goku and don't know when they will... Which means they likely aren't going to have any for sale, since the retailers selling so far have gotten them from SDCC.

Given how BigBadToyStore is over $100. Plus, saying that they haven't gotten their shippment doesn't mean that theyre not going to have any for sale, as if they weren't they could of just flat out said that they aren't going to sell them.

Stated they hadn't been invoiced yet for them either.

ToyzintheBox will sell SDCC Goku at the "market rate" ($100+). They're known to raise prices on items as well. Look at their current prices for Broly, the Androids, etc.
