I was in line during preview night. They had the limit to 12 at first and then as time went on they said the limit was 1 per...I get close to the cash register and they said the limit was 4 per, so I bought 4. Last years experience with Vegeta wasn't as bad, that was pretty easy to get and there was no limit cap until the last day. Either they made a small production run of Goku or he's just that popular. Did they have the same set up as 2014? Where they lined everyone up against the wall and then called groups up to go into the "sale" line? Also, which other DBZ Figuarts did they have on sale? When I was there in 2014, they also had a decent stock of Cell and Frieza.

Why on the first night would they let people buy 12 at once? That just seems like its encouraging scalping...

Last year they were left with cases of Vegeta, I assume they just went by last years folly this time. However instead of a crappy 1 episode color variant they had one of the most important versions of the main character in the entire series. Whoops!

Why on the first night would they let people buy 12 at once? That just seems like its encouraging scalping... end of the day Bluefin needs to recover/gain income. They have the scumbags who are ready and willing to buy cases with the sole intent of reselling ( my main issue - it seems a majority of collectors are now missing out thanks to re-sellers) so they made the cases available which caused a large amount to sell almost immediately, and the limited quantity allowed scalpers (AND retailers - BBTS didn't surprise me since they usually have mark ups but MHToyShop was very surprising and disappointing) to take advantage from day one. Unfortunately it seems to be a problem Bluefin has no interest in fixing and one that may only get worse for future exclusives. really bad situation all around.

What was bad about the SDCC? Was it the lines and stuff or just the set up all together? Im sure the events get packed, but I have never been myself. Coot From what people were saying the entire experience for buying the figure was horrible. Not SDCC on a whole, just the experience with the line and trying to buy the figure. First off they had a limit of 12 per person ( A case apparently ) on preview night, then as the weekend went on pulled it back all the way to 1 per person. Then they were capping the lines, quoting when they would uncap so you had to leave and return then, but couldn't wait nearby, but then they would uncap the line early anyway, and you got screwed. Also the line officials(?) were just ornery due to them having to deal with these complainers all the time and just got upset with everyone as a reaction, which helped nothing. this just sounds like a very valid reason to stop making unnecessary exclusives and release the correct colours and main characters of a series as standard releases!! 12 per person is a 'limit'? that is funnily stupid who the fk wants 12 of anything? (unless its naruto) maybe 4 at a push ( eg 1display, 1 boxed, 1 for a custom,1for a friend - if theyre lucky !) they might aswell have 2 lots of stock and 2 lines - one line for scalpers / retailers (although thats them admitting its not really an sdcc exclusive if they are offering stock to retailers to sell in shops or online) and another line for real fans with a cap of 3 or 4 per person.. per person! thats it no more, not heres your 4, then come back again and get another 4 then, que up and get another 4 - its madness making people jump through hoops for these things is really disrespectful to the cutomers im not just saying this cause it seems im gonna mis out on this , im saying it because it just all sounds so completely stupid!

Wish they had Cell and Frieza...

Someone on facebook was talking about 3d priniting the space pod and asking howmuch people would pay. Everyone was saying $150 would be fair. How is that fair?? I dont get figuart fangirls. $150 for 3d printing soimething that big makes 0 sense to me. You guys spend $200 on 5 inch figures like no ones buisness but wont even hit $200 for a massive homemade prop ship?? idgi

It looked really good in person though. You there? I went there too. I talked to the same guy and I still thought the price was ridiculous, eBay price. Furthermore, I've seen a crazy man asking 300 per piece lolz
