I would be interested in what your Top 5 anime series are. WITHOUT movies and WITHOUT Dragonball! Series with you in the good memories. For me it is especially classics. Maybe I'm the only one here.  My Top 5! 1. Saint Seiya 2. Grendizer 3. Tiger Mask 4. Sailor Moon (yes, yes, as young adult I have also seen)  5. Neon Genesis Evangelion |

Wow man I love tiger mask! It was my favorite as a child, so was grendizer  As for my top 5: 1) fullmetal alchemist 2) Tokyo ghoul 3) atack on titan 4) death note 5) jojo's bizarre adventure |

These are the only animes I have actually watched to completion.
1) InuYahsa (I haven't seen Final Act Yet)
2) Fullmetal Alchemist (Either one)
3) YuYu Hakusho
There are some others that I like, but never finished: Rurouni Kenshin, Zatch Bell!, Case Closed, the original series of Pokemon, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh! ect.
I don't really watch a lot of anime, honestly.

top 5 is hard for me becuase i dont think you can rate something as big as anime in a top 5 list. Anime is a medium, not a genre. But anyway
1. Clannad(both shows together)
2. Anohana
3. YuYu Hakusho
4. Welcome to the NHK
5. Death Note
5 was a toss up and i really couldnt think of anything. I recently rewatch deathnote so its fresh in my mind and yeah it was amazing. Got its spot on the list.
Honorable mentions but too cute/funny to make the cut
K-on, Kill La Kill, Iwatobi Swim Club, The melancholy of Haruhi Suzuamiya, Baka to test, daily life of highschool boys, the list goes on.

I spent way too much time deciding and things *might* change in a couple months, but for now: -Attack on Titan -Psycho-Pass -Death Note -Bleach -Durarara!!/ Darker than Black They're not numbered because I just couldn't. I don't think these need explanations, but I will note that I am not caught up to One Piece, but I like it a lot. It might rank higher when I get caught up (if I ever do ). |

I don't know if I can even name 5 besides DB that I've seen much of lol. So this will be more of an anime I've seen list rather than a top 5.
Pokemon(Currently watching through entire series. Only saw first season as a kid.)
Digimon(Hey a ripoff of Pokemon)
Monster Rancher(Another ripoff of Pokemon)
Sailor Moon(I think I watched this before DBZ actually)
Inuyasha(Only seen a few episodes)

DB started everything for me, so ill just grant it its own distinction as progenitor.
The rest is really hard to order
