Just came back from the theater and damn, what a great movie to see on my Birthday.
I now want an SH Figuarts of Ultron. Think he might become one of my favourite villains.

I'm a cynical bastard, so I've been constantly worrying that it's going to be terrible. I hope I am wrong

The movie was everything I expected and much more! On first impressions, I think I like this one better than the original. It's hard to say though, so I'll wait until I see this one a few more times.

I just got back from seeing it. Overall it was good. I don't especially like them making Ultron so non-serious, but that's my only significant complaint.

I actually liked his clones better than Ultron himself. I actually liked how he was able to talk on his clone and then transfer to other clones, I thought that was pretty awesome and that's how Ultron should of been. Giving him a face with teeth and not being serious kinda ruined it for me. The directors recently said that the MCU will never go dark on their movies and will always be comedy. With that in mind I'm hoping they don't ruin Thanos, because he is definitely someone that doesn't joke around.

I don't think it was as funny comedy as some people act like. It had some light spots, but it was still plenty serious without getting overly grim and boring. Winter Soldier was plenty serious and dark, and the guys who were in charge of that are taking over Avengers and doing both parts of Infinity War. I don't think you have to worry about the next movies. Although, Thanos can be pretty goofy and ridiculous, and there were some pretty silly things that happened in the 70's and 80's. I mean...Pip the Troll, for one. Let's not forget the Thanoscopter, too... I really like how they portrayed Ultron. So many times we get villains who are just the same boring "I need revenge and I'm just so evil grrr." Ultron was a nice change. He has a vision, and he just doesn't seem to understand why no one else can see his point of view. It annoys him because, to him, it's so simple. I, also, like the types of villains that can be acting totally calm and normal and then just go off and kill someone or rip someone's arm off and act like it's no big deal. I would rather have someone with personality than just some cold plain robot. Makes sense for Ultron to be a little more casual, too, since he was made by Tony and took after him a fair bit. In the comics, Ultron is the evil side of Hank Pym. In the MCU, he is the evil twisted side of Tony Stark. I absolutely loved Age of Ultron, though. It perfectly captured the feel of a comic book. The movie started with a freakin' splash page! It was awesome. It had style and action, but it never felt like it was dragging it's feet or boring. The downtime felt just as natural as the next big set piece and fight. I heard someone describe it as a "Kirby" movie, and I think that fits. It was a comic, and that's what I like about Marvel. They aren't ashamed of making movies based on comic books. They embrace that.
