So I finished devouring ALL the Evangelion movies and the original show. Of course, now I have to create an Evangelion display  . I figured this was a popular enough anime to create a thread for discussion. Anyone have any pics of their collection or suggestions? So far I've got Figma Asuka with Figma Rei on it's way |

Yeah they have a bunch of the girls and pretty much every single EVA. The Revoltech girls are a little too tall for me so I settled on the Figmas. For the Eva's I'm considering getting the Medicoms but Eva 01 and 02 are soooo expensive. I've never owned a Medicom either so it would be quite a treat. They'd probably look really good next to the Figmas

I have a love/hate relationship with NGE.
It's one of the first anime series I watched throughout. But it really falls apart in the end and gets confusing. Hence why the creator and his team have gone back constantly and "redone" the ending. I'm not a big fan of the main character Shinji either, he's the whiny anime boy brat to the extreme. I mostly like the series thanks to the unique story, design and the action is fantastic.
The new Neon Evangelion "Rebuild" or whatever-it's-called series of OVAs is pretty good. I believe the last one is due out soon...

The first Evangelion was really good up until the end. It was extremely weird and supposedly it was because the studio ran out of money so the last two episodes turned out so strange. End of Evangelion was the proper ending and you could say the last two episodes in the original all occurred in Shinji's mind during the attack on the headquarters. That's how I like to rationalize it at least.
The rebuild series is basically the re-boot but stays true to the main aspects of the anime while adding new stuff and then going a different route over all. The fourth one should be out soon but here I am waiting.

prodigy1367 There's a theory or that it's somewhat implied that the Rebuild films are a sequel to End of Evangelion.

I just read up on that theory and it's pretty freaky  I personally think until I get some type of confirmation otherwise that it's simply a reboot...but then again it could be the world re-imagined by Shinji  This anime has all kinds of psychological mind games going on so anything is possible. That's another thing I love about this show! |
