That Tsume is being hailed by many as being perfect, which is a travesty. While it is nice, the face and hair is stylized and looks a little off. Lol and the clothing texture is just not in DBZ style. And it's Uber expensive!! I agree with this 100%. Tsume's work isn't bad, but his prices are out of my range and I've complained since day one about Majin Vegeta's face. The eyebrow muscles (where they anchor) are set way too low, and I feel like the face should have more depth. It's unbearably flat. Even the lack of depth in the eyes is just lazy, imo. The jumpsuit is a weird texture as well, which is the most off-putting thing about it, but the anatomy sculpt is pretty good. However, his Bardock is by far the worst one to date. The face not only looks nothing like Bardock, but the placement of the eyes are too high. The sculpting on the pelvic region was his worst atrocity because it was flat. Bardock's clothes are skin tight, and there was basically no attempt at all to sculpt the muscles (or package) beneath his pants. The knee caps are have different placements on each leg, his nipple is way to far out to the side, and the cracks on his armor look like s***. Kozo's Bardock from SC5 blows this junk out of the water, and it's a fraction of the price. I have to say that the best thing about this figure is the base.  |

So cool! It says SMSP, but it's smaller than the previous 2. That base is beautiful too. I probably will get it if the price is good.

He looks great, he really does.
But I'm tired already from this look of him. As was stated above me - it's always that battle damaged Freeza arc look.
Even if they want to do Goku, What about his Saiyan arc look with the Kame/Kaio kangi? What about his Kaioken form from Saiyan arc/Champa arc in super? What about Kid Goku? Goku from the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai?

What a huge disappointment. We got 3 characters in the SMSP line ... battle damaged Frieza saga SS Goku, generic SS Vegeta and battle damaged Frieza saga SS Goku. Way to waste a great potential.
Maybe it turns out to be not part of the SMSP line but a new/different line.
At least the base is a nice touch. But apparently they can not even be bothered to put a different number of stars in the dragonball which refers to the number of the color version....

The SMSP look nice but I probably won't be buying any as aside from Goku's base they feel too samey compared to the variety that series like One Piece get. Another Freeza saga damaged SS Goku is just evil at this point, 30 damn years of content and thats what they pick? I'd be more accepting of a Super Cyan Goku and I hate that form so that should tell you how I feel about this. JUST COME ON! That Tsume is being hailed by many as being perfect, which is a travesty. I haven't been keeping track of Tsume's work as I wanted to be surprised and I really am, that Vegeta and that Bardock I won't even quote are just awful. Their other lines are beautiful, I had to stop myself from buying the Zoro they did and I'm not even a OP fan so seeing such iffy work for Dragon Ball is really disheartening. On the bright side though it saves me money so woo! |

Dang I already own the Medicos Goku, and the new SMSP is a bit too similar to that piece. The base is really cool though, and I like the fact that they went more towards an action pose. I agree about this line needing new characters.
By the way, that Tsume Bardock looks terrible. Looks like a bootleg or something. Hope their future Dragonball figures don't look like that. The Vegeta by them is a huge step foreward.
Why can't Medicos get back in the Dragonball game? I feel like they would do Vegeta justice along with other characters.
