The battle damage is really nice ... but I would still have prefered an actually damaged version of the armor to go with Goku.

People keep complaining about the Vegeta's head sculpt, but it's actually VERY close to the manga depictions of him at that point in the series: Same with Goku. People keep complaining about his head sculpt, but it's VERY close to Toriyama's style from that point in the series.

I hope this one stands better than Goku. Looks absolutely amazing! So much detail i love it. This is something I don't understand for the MSP/SMSP figures in general. The figures look really amazing, but some of them just keep on falling of the shelf with every tiny sneeze. Why don't they just provide some plastic stands that fit and work better than the ones that are included? Why don't they even provide them with all the characters or why don't they try to make sculpts that can balance themselves better? Oh, and while I'm on the subject; Why the hell did SS2 Gohan come with a bubble gum blue stand instead of a clear one? And to add insult to injury, the "Manga Dimensions" version came with a playdoh red one....just why? I really had to get this off my chest for a while ...

What scene are they depicting for this Vegeta?
Was the body pose of Vegeta only made like this to pair with Goku?
Just by looking at the SMSP Goku, you know exactly what that bad ass scene is from.
This Vegeta is still very cool, but could've been better.
For the first time ever, I might end up getting the brush instead of two dimensions.

Vegeta would look out of place here.

The Goku was definitely based off this one:
I think it's just a generic pose.
I have a feeling that every figure in this SMSP line is going to have that basic stance with their hands by their sides. The MSP line had two fists in front of them type stance except for Vegito I think. It would be cool if they chose an iconic scene like this of Vegeta: This statue by Tsume is just phenomenal. It is actually an official company unlike those Chinese resins. Too bad it is sold out.

Tsume's stuff is nice, but $700 for a 1/4 statue is out of my price range. And Tsume garnered a license from Toei a couple years ago, but they weren't always licensed. I must say, out of all their pieces, the Piccolo and Gohan is amazing. Too bad that one sold out too.
And MSP had some "slightly" different poses, but they were the same general generic standing poses.
I don't mind standing poses. These poses might seem boring, but the detail no the sculpt for SMSP is phenomenal. I'd rather have detail than a cool pose (but both is even better) because it showcases the artist's skill with texturing and detail.

While it is nice, the face and hair is stylized and looks a little off. Lol and the clothing texture is just not in DBZ style. And it's Uber expensive!!

Yeah my bad, totally forgot about the MSP Super Characters and Gotenks who had their hands to their sides. Yes I agree, the standing poses aren't bad and I am fine with it. It's just that, since the SMSP Goku was based off that iconic picture, I thought the line would continue that trend of basing it off iconic moments. The Tsume price seems ideal at maybe $500 instead right? But since it was limited, it sold out quick. You can probably get double what you paid if you end up not liking it.

Yea the thing is pricey. What I like about it is that it is huge, the clothing looks extra detailed like silicon, and it has sound effects from the anime. The light effects look cool too.
It looks like it can break easily if not careful, unlike the SMSP and MSP line.
