Damn! I hate this new wave! Vegeto again!? Gohan Adult is ok.. but clearely easy (re-issue bodys), no new body mold. for what we seen so far I can predict that every wave will have some variation on already launched figures... for example wave 7 having SSJ Gohan adult.. And they wont even say what is the last figure! the only one that usually comes only one per 6-pack. with all the re-uses Im betting on superior instinct Goku... since thats kinda new and blowing up.. and would be easy re-using bodies again.. just some tweeks on the hair and diferent eyes paint job.. bang.. you got yourself a superior instinct goku... oh damn if its not him I might just had the idea of customizing one..!
anyways.. and even with a weak wave like that its already sold out on BBTS!!!! WTF!?!?!?

Someone here said hybrids are 4-5 inch scale and don't scale well with Shodo, so I thought I would post this pic of all my 3.75 to 4 inch brand figs so you can decide. Hybrids standard figs are just about a forehead taller but works for me. Ultimate Collection figs are a bit too bulky but some figs work well. Goku big battle figs are perfect but impossible to find. Popy magnets work well in a pinch for a Piccolo but I prefer hybrid Piccolo myself. Could you host this image of yours on IMGUR? When I have to clean out DBF's attachments in the future, it'll get deleted, and it's a great image!! I can host it for you on my IMGUR if you want. Just let me know. |

Awesome, but hopefully we start seeing some new characters. I'm kind of meh about Jiren, but since we're getting an Ultra Instinct Goku figure, they may as well give us a Jiren to go with him.

Hum.. have you guys noticed some drop in quality in the new wave (vol.6)?
Saw some videos.. and the Vegeto comparing with SSj vegeto.. the black hair is less "pointy".. more.. "kid safe" but definitivelly noticeble!
Eyes and eye painting also look worse.. didng get my hands on those yet.. but I had noticed that from pics.. but I figured that ilustrative images didn´t portrait well the actuall product quality ( trusted that because older waves were better looking)
Even Gohan hair's is a bit "chunky" and kinda weird at the back botton.
just droped by to coment on that.. what you guys think? will we see a quality drop from now on? prices already spiked a bit..

is this line dead? any news? As far as I'm aware, yes and no. Yes, there hasn't been much said about the line in a while (around a year now I think) and production has all but halted (to my knowledge.) No, as there hasn't been any word from BANDAI about whether or not the line has been ceased. |

It seems like the line is dead. I haven't seen any news regarding it. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I actually ended up with a Shodo Ultra Instinct Goku from a lot I purchased on ebay. I have to be honest. It's very nice. I assume the size and maybe the price are what made these a little unsuccessful. The articulation is very good though.
To get a person like me to buy them, they'd have to make a Yamcha or Tien or somebody I like. I totally would have bought a Kefla from this line. Still would.

I agree, I like the quality, but would have liked a few characters that are a bit more neglected. I bought two of them for custom projects: Saiyan Saga Vegeta to turn into SHF scale Namek Gohan, which worked out better than I thought it would, and after seeing how nice of a figure that one was, I also bought Super Buu to sub in as Kid Buu, also for SHF scale. I'm still looking for a proper head for that, but they're just really nice little figures. It'd be really too bad if they didn't make more, as I'd love at least a Krillin...
