I assume it's the next set of Shodo figures, but I can't be certain.

Who buys these?! I mean DBF must be some kind of an indicator for the market and I don't know a single person on here who likes collecting these :S

The shodo series remancing older Bandai\Unifive poseable blind box figuers. The category would attribute as being the same as HG Plus\Popy Magnetic figures\Posing Figures\Goku Great Battle.
I think that part of the appeal in those type of series is an articulated poseable Gashapon type figurines.

You know how there are packs of gum and candy at the grocery store in a display while you are checking out?
That's kind of what Shodo figures are at anime conventions and probably anime stores too. They are small and something people grab for $10. That's how it was at A-kon at least.
Kind of weird they made Bardock. You'd think Frieza would be in this set considering he's in nearly every other line of figures known to man. No Piccolo either.

I mean DBF must be some kind of an indicator for the market Yeah, every Dragon Ball toy collector definitely goes on here. Lots of people from Japan, too!

Maybe you should do a review video of them. Branjita did they sell well at A-kon? I think they did because if I was passing by the booth and saw them displayed the way you said they were, I'd have definitely gotten myself a couple.

I actually have reviewed the original 3. One of my most embarrassing mistakes of my reviewing career was caused by one of those damn figures

Roshi-- The scouters sold way, way, way better than the Shodo. They didn't get a ton of interest really.
