cmakhk Okay... now I think I need to get that bootleg set of Piccolo minions! Thank you for showing those! aidenthetoymaniac correct, it's the Magnet Action kid Goku. I have the Krillin as well. I've cut the bottom of his shoes off, because they were too thick, so mine no longer has the magnets, though it is hard to tell in the photo. I've casually looked for a good deal on the Master Roshi, but I haven't ever found one for cheap. It might be possible for me to lengthen his body and such to make him 5 inch scale, but as he is right now, he's a bit too small. The Yamcha, Tien, and Bulma are all much smaller scale. The DBZ characters are also much smaller scale. Perhaps HG scale...?

Here are photos by Dimitri Both (who ordered this online from Amazon in Europe) of Dragon Stars Omega Shenron compared with the Jakks and (unlicensed) AF Toys one. To me, he looks really great, because the Jakks one has always had too large of a head, and the AF Toys one looks like a muppet. When my DS Omega Shenron comes from Amazon in the US, I'll take some comparison pics with DeAgostini DBGT figures and some other things. I've mentioned this somewhere before (hopefully here), but Omega Shenron isn't a massive character like Broly (so the Jakks one is a bit too buff). 5 inch scale collectors will likely end up liking this figure a lot. Dragon Stars collectors though...? He might be a tiny bit small, but honestly not that far off in my opinion. TDC made this height chart for his opinion of how tall he should be compared to Goku, but I think he's a bit oversized possibly here... but it's been a few years since I've watched those episodes.

I turned the larger kid Piccolo into Cargo. Its head was too big, so I swapped it out for another adverge bootleg head. I'll keep the smaller one as kid Piccolo. And I cut the Irwin Dende shorter but it still too big for 5". Looks like I'll have to wait forever for a shf Dende bootleg. Just bought the kid Goku and Oolong transform of dragon archives. The customs of Oolong transform is easy, just swap the legs. The kid Goku fits for 5". I think that's the ideal size a 5" scale or shf kid Goku should have, instead of those oversized bodies and huge heads. Took a picture of the wcf I bought earlier. I bought the second kid Goku in armor because the armor is a different color, but you can see that their bodies are exactly the same, just swapped heads and arms, so I wouldn't buy the second kid Vegeta whose armor is even the same color. The Oolong and Chaozu are too small. The Freiza in cocoon fits for 5". I'll be swapping out the head of my custom to a regular Freiza later on. I haven't seen any news about wcf for the latest movies. I'm afraid the wcf product line seems to have come to an end.

Are the WCF Oolong and Chaozu bootlegs? If so, I wish I could find those. WCF are almost always expensive in the US if you have to buy them online.
I think the DB/Z/GT/S WCF line might be dead. I don't follow WCF very enthusiastically, but the last set I remember seeing was a DBGT set, and I feel like that was released almost 2 years ago.

Those wcf are legit. I waited for the bootleg release and missed the cheapest time to buy. From the shf or other figures I've seen it sells on eBay usually for almost twice as much as here, but you can still find bargains if you keep hunting every day. I have a few wcf bought from eBay which are cheaper than here. Not only the legit line, the bootleg line of wcf has been dead for a long time too. The bootlegs released now are mainly the huge figures of Ichiban Kuji Prize. Nothing I am interest except Cell max and orange Piccolo (both 31cm).

I'd love to see Cell Max with Evolve Goku when you receive Cell Max! I've been wondering how it would compare. Since I don't have room to display a huge Cell Max, I don't plan on buying it, but it seems like a good option!!

Same here if you can manage to post a comparison with the Shodo Neo or Flash Goku.

I don't have Shodo or Flash figure. For reference, this Hybrid Vegeta (I bought it for Gohan of time chamber) is as tall as the Flash one. Looks like gammas with capes, guns and lower skirts cost too much that we can't expect Evolve to release it. So, I bought their shf without Gohan accessories from a seller. Each Gamma comes with two guns. The headless gun fits into the holster, but the holster can still hold the headed gun loosely, so I might turn the headless gun into Cheelai's gun. Saw a Zarbon in the third series of some bootleg figures about 13cm, which upper body looked like 5" scale, so I bought one. I swapped its legs with my old custom one.

Cell Max looks to be a reasonable size for 5 inch scale! He's big enough to satisfy most people I think. I'm going to skip buying him, just because I don't have room for a huge Cell Max on my movie figure shelf.
I'm surprised the SHF Gammas are that size. I don't remember their size compared to other characters in the movie, but those are certainly smaller than the Dragon Stars ones.
Are any of the other bodies from the figures from that set with Zarbon useful for 5 inch scale bodies?

Looks like gammas are taller than Goku, so the height of their shf is fine for 5" and I wouldn't need to cut their boots short. I guess if you swap out the heads of the Krillin and Yamcha from that set with monster Zarbon for a dwc/wcf Krillin's head, they will work for a 5" scale Krillin. But there are already so many articulating options for 5" Krillin that make it pointless to pick posed figure. For those 5" collectors who don't have a Frieza in pod and don't mind it not being articulated, there is a Frieza in pod from the same bootleg series that you can swap the head for a dwc/wcf. (The upper body of 3rd form Frieza also looks like 5" scale)

Based on this image I found on uglydbzmerch.tumblr.com/page/3 the unlicensed rubber keychains that have been for sale for around a year have heads that are 5 inch scale. Are they useful for custom figures...? Probably not...

Bandai Namco Play's Dragon Stars Piccolo from the Piccolo vs. Gamma 2 Battle Pack scales pretty well as a Power Awakening Piccolo with 5 inch scale figures like Irwin, Jakks, and Bandai's Dragon Ball Evolve line of figures. All he needs is the belt painted black and skin painted yellowish. He's a little bit large for Piccolo in his base form (with 5 inch scale figures). Gamma 2 is HUGE for 5 inch scale, so hopefully Bandai produces Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 in the Dragon Ball Evolve line of figures. We still need a Dragon Stars Orange Piccolo to be made. Why hasn't anyone ever pointed out that the Battle Packs come with really nice background art? You can buy this battle pack on Amazon: amzn.to/3t8QkL2

Dragon Stars Piccolo Super Hero Ver. & Piccolo vs Gamma 2 from battle pack only differ in the head and accessories, compared to the two previous versions of Piccolo they have a different design and height.
I don't have the previous versions of DS Piccolo, but I do have the super hero version and it scales well with the Dragon Ball Evolve figures.
But if it seems tall to you, you can customize the height by cutting the green part of the ankle where the joint of the shoe is.

motard0705 you must be Joel from FB. Glad to have you on here! I agree, the best place to take off height from this Piccolo might be the ankle, but not breaking the ankle articulation might be a challenge since there is an articulated peg at the end of his leg. I think his body proportions are really good, so I don't plan on trying to shorten him. I will likely put a very then coating of Aves Apoxie Sculpt on his arms to cover up the lines on the green surfaces, and then just repaint him to be Power Awakening Piccolo. I think he's reasonably the right size for that transformation. I'm extremely thankful that the head is a reasonable size compared to Irwin and Jakks. I was really worried it would be too big, but it's basically perfect for Power Awakening.

Bought a Hybrid kid buu before since his articulation is better than the sbc one for 5" collection. I recently made some accessories for him - yelling and sleeping head, floating body, kite's body, right arm's ball, and some legs attacking Goku.
