This is a question that has recently entered into my mind due to certain things.
How durable is resin?
Specifically if anyone here has had experience with action figures made out of resin. I might be interested in something similar that I may get in the future, so for now I'm just getting some opinions here and there.

I think it's fairly strong, stronger than something made of clay I imagine. It's not as brittle and dense as clay. It has a slight flex to it, mainly on thin parts such as fingers or long hair strands. Still, if a resin figure falls over, it will likely break somewhere.

There are 2 types of resin on the market for figures
One most hobby normally use is Polyurethane Resin (A+B Resin), it is usually yellow in appearance and its a very hard and durable plastic that will not break on fall, unless it was crush by its own weight.
The other one is usually mass produced by companies like djfunshing is called Cold Cast Resin, it is hard but it will break when dropped. Usually the color is gray / white. Most figurines / ornaments are made of this resin.
