Branjita I feel like the removable armor figures wouldn't look that bad if they were painted better but in their current state I'd only buy them if they were under $8. They may be cool for customs though. I do agree with you on the 6.5" figures, all of them look somewhat mediocre compared to the Frieza but sadly he's probably too tall for figuarts scale. For being only $20 I can excuse most of the quality issues on those figures though. I still don't get why Bandai went with 6.5" scale, we've already got Figuarts and Figure-Rise Standard. We don't really need another 6 inch line that's just going to make the major characters and ignore most of the minor ones.

The Dragon Stars line looks pretty cool, definitely not S.H. Figuarts quality but still cool nonetheless, Vegeta's legs are way too long though. I'm pretty upset that Bandai America thinks the US DBZ community is full of children, the majority of the figures they're making look super cheap and gimmicky. You'd think they'd see this site and realize that most of us just want a nice fully articulated 5" scale line. Regardless I'm still really hyped about these, we're finally getting new DBZ figures in US stores again.

Yeah, it'd be cool if it were articulated.

I think I found the Giru loose.

Majin Tomato Yeah I'm still surprised Raditz played such a small role in the series, he basically existed solely to give Goku more of a back story and open up more possibilities for exploration in the series. Like you said Nappa played an even smaller role, he was only in the series to make Vegeta seem more intimidating and show how much stronger Goku had become. He owes almost all of his fame to TFS.

I don't know, he was Frieza's underling and Frieza hated saiyans so I guesss in reality Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz could be considered equals. Vegeta's title wasn't important to Frieza so he was basically just as worthless as Nappa or Raditz until proven otherwise. But that's not the point, the point is I prefer the anime colors lol.

I prefer the manga colors on some characters but Nappa definitely isn't one of them. I always liked how his anime colors helped him match with Vegeta. To me it made sense for them to match because Vegeta being the prince wore royal colors so it sort of made sense for his partner to wear them as well. In the manga he shares the same armor colors as Raditz which makes him look very generic and unimportant.

Branjita the funny thing is my Bulma was one of the only figures I got with a nicely painted face. My Goku on the other hand had almost all of the paint on his face chipped off, I had to repaint his entire face. Something I thought was strange was how large kid Krillin was compared to the other small characters, he's huge.

That's so weird I've never seen those with power rangers before. I got a set that came with kid Goku, Bulma, Yamcha, kid Krillin, Oolong, Pilaf, Shu, Mai, Master Roshi, King Kai and Ssj Vegeta. The Master Roshi and Ssj Vegeta can't even stand on their own and my set came with an extra Mai. I knew about them making GT figures because I've seen a Ssj4 Goku in one of those sets before. I don't think I've seen the Giru though.

I can't wait to see the finished result, there aren't enough Oozaru customs imo. I still can't believe I never noticed the inconsistencies with Bardock's faulds/tassets in his great ape scene. I'm usually quick to notice things like that when watching movies or tv shows.

That is interesting, I assumed the Buu was an original sculpt but I didn't know that unweighted Piccolo and Trunks with jacket were never made in the ab 2 inch line.

I stumbled across this when browsing DBZ figures on ebay. The mini SBC Vegeta comes in a set a figures commonly reffered to as Panini Serie Completa, a lot of the sellers listing these figures have also reffered to them as kinder surprise figures. It's a really random assortment of characters imo but the mini sbc Vegeta has definitely caught my attention. Attachment Deleted

The main painting application that bothers me is the neck. Applying different shades of coloring is one thing but painting a portion of the white part of his neck black? I'm not sure I understand the meaning of that altercation. Glad I'm not the only one that noticed. I pointed this out back around August or July on the upcoming figuarts release thread. I had assumed it would've been fixed by now but obviously it's gone unnoticed or like you said it was by choice. They obviously chose to ignore the mold lines on the face, so it doesn't surprise me that they painted part of the neck the wrong color. Even with these mistakes I'll probably still puck it up though, just so I could display it with Gohan.
