I, completely, agree on the same old characters getting done over and over again...it's tiring, and has made it easy to cut down on what I buy. Getting endless variations before even getting a mostly full set of the main cast really sucks. That being said, Xenoverse Trunks...HELLS BELLS YEAH!!! I'm sorry, but that is a specific look that I just loved and I never thought we would ever get a figure of him. I'm, personally, very happy for him. I can't explain it, I just love him. He is my "Badman Vegeta," "Drivers Ed Goku and Piccolo," "School uniform Gohan," etc.

Careful, he's gonna go off on you, too. Lol. It's not really worth it to go on. He's not going to admit to a scale difference, even if Bandai themselves told him it was a different scale. I'm done with it. Anyways, for the rest of the forum, I hope the review video and all the comparison photos and stuff I posted was helpful on choosing a pod. I'm just glad there are finally choices besides paying $150-200 for the Irwin or other hard to find pods. And, I'm really looking forward to all the new vehicles coming out.

Like I said, if you like it just get it. More power to you, I'm not gonna tell you you can't get it, or anything. It can probably be fudged in to fit with the different scale, if a person really wanted.
I'm just pointing out another alternative that seems to be a very popular choice with other people online.

Lol! That pod is huge, I would hardly call that a better example. The Ichiban Kuji pod is not one of my top choices, either. Vegeta looks tiny in it. I remember seeing quite a few posts in this exact thread pointing out that it and the baby Goku were way too big, also. Believe what you want, and tell yourself whatever you need to to make yourself feel better about your purchase. It's your display, and if you're fine with inconsistencies in scale that's alright. But, we've seen the displays and the figures and we've got the measurments straight from Bandai as well as them flat out saying they are differently scaled. If saving a few bucks is that important, get what you need to. You seem to be the only one here that really thinks the Figurerise pod is "better." So, get it and be happy. We'll all get the Dragon Summon pod , and be happy.

Your arguement, meanwhile, was that Figurerise are similar scale to Figuarts. That is just flat out wrong, as has been proven multiple times with comparison pictures of the Figurerise figures towering over the Figuarts. You can think what you want, but Figurerise IS in a larger scale. The pod on a stand is taller than Figurerise Goku, you can see how much taller Figurerise Goku is compared to Figuarts Goku. Taking that stand away isn't going to magically make the pod that much smaller. But, if you'd like we can just go by the official measurements. Bandai lists the diameter of the pod as almost 6 and a half inches tall. That still makes it significantly larger than Vegeta. That makes it even a little taller than Figuarts Piccolo, even. So, it's still way too big. It, actually, has the same listed height as Figuarts Android 16.
Figurerise and Figuarts are NOT the same scale. The Figurerise pod is scaled to Figurerise. It's out of scale, plain and simple. You can like it, and get it. I'm not telling you not to. I'm just pointing out that the Dragon Summon pod is going to fit a lot better with Figuarts, because it was made specifically to.
Personally, I don't think a pod as tall as that would really look all that great next to Figuarts Vegeta. :-/

Just curious, is this Dragon Summon pod officially licensed? It looks nice with the lights I must say. No, it's not a licensed item. It is a third party item, similar to the many companies releasing their own versions of Transformers. But, it was made using fan input and with Figuarts specifically in mind.

The Dragon Summon pod is made to fit with Figuarts, plain and simple. It has correct colours and details, in addition to the electronics. It's about $10-15 more expensive than the Figurerise one, but the extras that it has easily make up that price. So, I really don't see the price as being the most important factor. As for Figurerise, the ONLY figure that has been anywhere near the same size as the figuarts has been Gohan. The rest have been very much larger, and out of scale. Here is a shot of the Goku, compared to figuarts. It's not even close. t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQIVYWjWkYmDuRwQ2ZrlKw7STBg4Oj3Ls4TmzfrwY9aQE4Mu2KKThe fixed-posed Vegeta figure that comes with the Figurerise pod, looks like it's very similar in size to the Goku. Meaning, it will be huge compared to the figuarts Vegeta. s3.amazonaws.com/tf.images/reduced-galery_image_12080_20881.jpgAlso, looking at the comparisons the Figurerise pod looks like it will dwarf any Figuarts figure. It's going to be substantially larger, being even taller than Figuarts Goku. While the Dragon Summon Space Pod is about the same height as Vegeta. pbs.twimg.com/media/Cl8WIiGUsAAbWnK.jpgIf saving that little bit of money is the most important thing, and you don't care about scale. Then, you could probably be ok with the Figurerise one. You could just put it in the back of a display, and try to hide its size. I just think the Dragon Summon one is a better overall value, looks better, and it fits in better with figuarts. scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/fr/cp0/e15/q65/14067764_960167440760885_4018118298446804452_o.jpg?efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9

Could be. How does Hot Topic's price compare to Barnes & Noble? Not sure what B&N charges, but Hot Topic is around $12-14 depending on if there is a sale going on.

It's worth noting that the original review that Anthony did was for the "test shot" of the Dragon Summon Space Pod. It was just a prototype, and wasn't finished.
They just sent him the finalized retail version, and the colours look much better on it. I'll definitely get this one over the Figurerise one. The Figurerise one looks decent, but it's just going to be waaay too big to correctly scale with any of the Figuarts.

I'm planning on getting this, but I wonder if I should also get the Figurerise model...? I love the colours on this one, but the figure still suffers from being way too short. With the Figurerise being in a slightly larger scale, I think that one might actually be closer to the right size.
Hmmm....

Is anyone else having this problem? The website won't display properly for me on my samsung tablet. Only odd text and super tiny images in some parts. I only have a tablet at the moment, so this is really annoying. Any idea how to fix this? I tried clearing the cache, rebooting, and switching to desktop view.

I would be more than happy if they just released the SS3 Vegeta prototype body, with very minor tweaking. I, actually, don't like the hips/pelvis articulation in the new version figures. I think it's incredibly ugly, and unnecessary. The old hips did everything just fine, and I liked the kind of "extending" movement on them. I miss that movement. My new Goku's hips don't seem to move that way, and I don't like it. I hate how the new Trunks' hip/crotch area looks. It's so ugly and very unclean with all the cuts in it. It sticks out so much more on skintight clothed characters than it does on baggy pants characters. There has to be a better way...

Ugh, I hope we don't get anymore Broly. I do not like his character, and I don't think we need to waste resources on him. Especially, even further noncanon forms of him. A reissue, or PCE with green hair and slightly different coloured sash might be fine. But, don't waste budget by making all new parts or an entire new figure for him.
If we get more movie figures, give us Cooler in his initial form. They could even do a metal recolour for SDCC or something.
If we get another large figure, GIVE US NAPPA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!
