What do you think the likelihood is of that green shirt coming off Tien so he can be bare-chested like he was in 50% of DBZ...? Could they possibly design (or could they have possibly designed) it so it is a one piece shoulder wrap that folds at the top and snaps together at the waist...? I hope... I hope... I hope. I'm really excited about the Yamcha and Tien! I do really hope that Yamcha comes with Saiyan Saga hair to put on the faces though... Bare-chested would be the best choice. He was like that at his best moments. Except for this kikoho scene... unfortunately it has become iconic but it is the only important scene he wears that green vest. And this green vest is probably sculpted unfortunately. But I agree that a removable greeen vest would be awesome. We could even customize a white t-shirt. Also, Yamcha should come with at least two hair styles, but damn, this is bandai... Hopefully, the new Bandai and series2 Figma blank bodies will make shirtless customs more easy, though. The second male Figma blank looks huge and buff.

I can't get the mobile or desktop site to load for me. This would be the US/English site, not sure if that makes a difference.
Anyone else having problems looking at the site? :-/

I don't think it will affect the cost of the SDCC Gohan. That has more going toward value than just the figure, itself. Convention exclusives always tend to hold their value better. It's still the only way to get a clean anime version of Gohan. Now, Manga Gohan...I can see that taking a big nosedive. Lol, makes me a little mad I didn't wait to buy him until now. Does this new Gohan look like he has a slightly larger head? It kinda looks like it might be a little wider than the previous Gohan. I wonder it it could be a nice choice for a "youthful" custom head. Regular release Gohan is $30 in most retailers, I highly doubt it'll go any lower. The new one will be $40+ so it'll be in a different pricing tier, so it wouldn't really influence RR Gohan's market value. I was thinking of the reseller market, not the retailer market. Of course, retailers won't put their Manga Gohans on deep clearance because of this. But, I could see people trying to get rid of Manga Gohan lowering prices. It probably won't go down as low as $20, and that's at the crazy very most. But, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Manga Gohans on ebay and other places selling for as low as $24-25.

Vegeta's legs look really long. I know the figures are photoshopped together, but he just looks too tall. Like I said before, don't get your hopes too high. Bandai doesn't know how to handle scale, and they have had problems in the past.
I am looking forward to the Build-A-Dragon, though. Hope it's not mini.
Also...is SS Goku's hair translucent?

Bandai is doing the Build-A-Figure with Power Rangers Legacy, I'm gonna guess this will be build a Dragon. That would, actually, be nice to get.
But, is it just me...or, is Vegeta WAY too tall? Goku looks kinda decent, eh. I will need to see more of these.
They will be significantly taller than anything else, though.

I feel your struggle man. I wish they hadn't released PC Vegeta. I was planning on selling him to get Super Vegeta, but looks like at a minimum, it would be a $15 hit. Painting the hair isn't a bad idea though! I might paint the boots white, too. What kind of paint would you use? I'm a novice, and I use basic acrylics that you find at craft stores. Worked well for my Gohan. I have found that if you are just painting a single colour, masking the area and using an airbrush is nice. It helps you get better coverage with a thinner and more even coat. You can get really cheap airbrushes at craft stores like Michaels, too. With a colour like black, it might not help as much. But, with lighter colours like yellow and white an airbrush is really convenient.

How quickly do you think old Vegeta's prices will bottom out? At least, the PCE will probably see a significant drop, I'm guessing. Most of the new figures look great. Xeno Trunks looks AMAZING! I cannot wait for him. Yamcha and Tien look pretty good. I, also, think they need to fix Yamcha's face a little. I hope he gets alternate heads with longer hair. The one thing that kinda bothers me on them is the knees. They look pretty good in a straight legged pose, but I think they are a little more obvious in poses where the knees will be bent greater. I'm worried, specifically, about the bottom seeming really wide at the cut. The new hip/crotch articulation looks a LOT better on characters with pants. It can disguise the cuts as folds in the fabric better. That is one thing that really bothers me about the new Trunks and Vegeta. The hip/crotch articulation is really noticeable and unsightly. What is supposed to be a single smooth, skintight piece just gets the sculpt so cut up and messy compared to the original figure. I wish they could modify the articulation to be more flush. It, also, tends to exaggerate the characters bulge...lol, Trunks looks very well endowed because of it.

I don't know. I, actually, prefer the previous head to the new one. The long neck, and the head being wider...it just seems "off" to me. I'm still not all that excited for this figure. I'm tired of Vegeta in Saiyan armour. I want a Buu saga Vegeta!

The ONLY thing I might be interested in from this line are larger/smaller sized monsters/non-humanoid characters and vehicles.
Other than that. I have zero plans to buy a single other figure.

If there is one thing BoA has shown, it's that they have no idea how to handle scale and that they like to start lines and then stop in the middle. Focusing more on popular characters, and not many else.
Anyone who tried to collect Thundercats from them knows how frustratiny inconsistent they are. They jump all over and never seem to even give you a decent selection of characters. Gotta be honest, the only thing I have even halfway liked from them has been the Legacy 6.5 inch Power Rangers. And, that came at the expense of the previously half assed and incomplete 5 inch Legacy line. They DON'T care about previous figure lines, and they don't care about fitting in to any other scales from different companies.
Anyone thinking they will get figures that will fit in with the Jakks or previous Dragonball figures, don't get your hopes up. If these are going to be similar to the PR Legacy figures, they will dwarf anything you have and not fit.

I'm more excited for the possibility of an adult/Xeno Gotenks figuarts! They better give us an Adult Goten before they release Adult Gotenks though. Which Goten, though? They just released the new Xeno Goten for Heroes.

Well, Xenoverse is the best selling Dragonball game ever made. In a single month it outsold ALL of Bandai Namco's other video game for that entire year. It was immensely popular, and that was even before Resurrection of Frieza came out. Trunks was one of the most popular characters from the game, too.
I'm, honestly, surprised we are only now getting figures a year later.

I was thinking the same thing. If there's something I would have gone crazy for as a kid, (...and now,) it would be the ability to create my own DBZ character figure. I would totally buy all of the races / genders to create unique characters. It's seriously the stuff of my 10 year old dreams! Yeah, it is kind of out there, but maybe not! I think if they release accessories for customization with this coming Time Patroller figure, and if it sells well, other races wouldn't be that far out of the question. Exactly! It would really give the collector a chance to be creative. Xenoverse Trunks and Time Patroller are certainly experimental releases to collect data on whether or not Tamashii Nations creates/continues the strategy for potential future releases. I imagine it will be a small market but I'm glad that Tamashii Nations feels it's deserving enough to at least give it a try. If received well, it could eventually become a sub-line for Tamashii Nations. I hope to see it evolve into that someday. Tamashii Nations has been asking Japanese collectors if they've played or heard of Dragon Ball Heroes, as well. So they may release Dragon Ball Hero characters and designs in a similar way. Similar to the Time Patroller, the main Dragon Ball Heroes* character Beat has already been with Xenoverse Trunks so it's possible... I'm more excited for the possibility of an adult/Xeno Gotenks figuarts!
