Anybody know where I could still get a Goku Black and Frieza S.H. Figuarts because both of my pre-orders got cancelled on me. Not for a price that isn't ridiculous. Same stupid thing happened to me. Screw Tamashii. There's no reason for Black, Frieza, and Majin Vegeta to be this scarce. What makes it even worse is all of the upcoming figures after those (except for Buu maybe) look like worthless pieces of crap so there's nothing to soften the blow.

Maybe they should make enough of the figures people actually want instead of going on ahead to this piece of crap.

I got a preorder for it there (I think May 1) while they still had it. Now it’s listed as sold out. Hoping for the best.

I saw Yamcha in Barnes & Noble last night and it blew my mind. Surprised the heck out of me to see a non Saiyan in B&N. Also, he was $65. B&N has crappy, high prices. Does that mean it might be possible to get Black from there? I'm fing angry I missed it AGAIN.

Are the Ginyu Force the only ones in the whole set that don't have bases? What's with that? It bothers me deeply in the name of continuity.

Why is this so scarce? I've never pre-ordered any figuarts and never had a problem getting the ones I wanted before.

Are all of the newer standing figures missing pegs for the feet? That makes them so much more annoying to display... Yes they are, it's soooooooooooooo annoying! Before I dive deep into critisism of WCF recently, let me preface my statement by saying I love these figures. These are my main collection; I buy every set as it comes out (Dragon Ball), and I still think that overall the ACTUAL FIGURES, (Not the bases or the stands), are for the msot part, TOP quality. That said, I'm going to go on a bit of a rant here, but the WCF figures are getting cheaper quality by the set: - None of them are coming with the pegs for the feet like they used to. - Most of the sticks that prop the figures up aren't the right enough length - The holes in the backs of the characters don't seem to be tight enough/deep enough - Characters who are "Floating/Flying" can't stand well do to either weak supports sticks or sticks that are too short, leaving them off the base - A few Characters keep coming with misapplied paint application leaving to face splotches. (I don't mind minor paint issues elsewhere, but not on their faces) But nothing has disappointed me more than the Dragon Ball Heroes set. The only one that stands up properly is Trunks. Bardock's peg is too small, and his feet are pointing down as if he's floating, so he looks ridiculous. Goku's weight keep him falling over repeatedly do to a weak peg. The Female God Saiyan doesn't align with the base. And lastly, the evil witch character's arms, legs, and wand are all flimsy to the point where they look like they were bootlegs. I don't understand what's happening with these figures. Bandai's website where they used to update the sets as they came out seems to not have been updated for months; is it possible that they might be slowly dwindling production of these once great figures? I'm glad I'm not the only one who is getting frustrated here. I loved these too... the character likeness has always been spot on, and no other single collection has the diversity of characters that this one does.
Sadly, they've hit a new low even beyond all the points you've listed. I recently ordered the new Stardust Crusaders Jojo sets and opened a few of the figures. The figures look good at a glance, but two of them (Enyaba and Iggy) come with the standard disc base, no pegs for the feet, and... nothing else. No stand and no way of securing the figure to the base (which, coincidentally, lacks the A B C D E F figure identification letter next to the copyright on the bottom like the other figures in the set have) whatsoever. That is unacceptable in my opinion. I didn't even bother opening the plastic bag, and put it right back in the box in sadness and disgust. As someone with hundreds of these who tries to keep them in some sort of order, the last thing I want to have is a bunch of loose pieces floating around. If Banpresto doesn't get their act together, I'm going to stop buying at this point.

I saw the WCF SS Goku series at a store called Box Lunch in the mall this weekend. They are blind box figures. How annoying is that?! I saw them too. Blind Box is the worst. Not only do I hate wasting money on duplicates... but I hate not having the unique boxes. I annoyed myself plenty already with the Naruto ones; I have an army of shadow clones but not a single Kakashi. I'm all for re-releasing older figures, but I'm hoping this doesn't become a trend.

Haven't heard about that blind boxes, but sounds cool for people missing old figures, can be a pain to find them at a reasonable price. I love they releasing missing chars from Z in the new super sets, hopefully one day we'll get Janenba, Cell jr., Bojack, etc.. (dreaming awake) I think it's an American-only/Funimation release (not Japanese); the listings have been showing up on sites like bigbadtoystore. There's an all Goku set scheduled for November (just what we needed more of) and then the Cell Saga set in January. I just started seeing the Naruto set in blind boxes at Hop Topic this month too. I'm sure we will get those characters eventually! They are great about keeping track of who is missing; even the last spots in the recent Frieza sets went to Blueberry and Raspberry which was awesome. Personally, I'm hoping for all the minor characters from the World Tournament (Spopovich, Yamu, Pintar, Jewel, Killa, etc) and Babidi (Pui Pui, Yakon, Babidi, Bibidi) sagas. More classic movie characters would be welcome too.

It looks like some of the original DBZ/Kai figures (Androids, Cell, Trunks) are getting re-released in blind box form. That's kind of cool because I'm missing some and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, but kind of sucks because I like the boxes and hate being stuck with the generic ugly blind box. That would be cool, but I'd so much prefer the surprise of him in Saiyan Saga appearance. The last few WCF sets haven't made a lot of sense, so I would not be surprised if this set didn't make sense either. Then again, I haven't watched Super in Japanese, so I have no idea if Korin and Yajirobe have actually appeared in the series and strangely look like they haven't aged a day since DB. The boxes say Super. I think the last two spots in most of the Super sets go to missing DBZ characters from the original releases; Supreme Kai and Kibito, Yajirobe and Korin, Baba and Grandpa Gohan, Future Gohan and Trunks, etc. That being said, there already was a Saiyan Saga Yamcha so it could go either way. Irritatingly, Barnes and Noble seems to ONLY order the Gokus from the new sets (Battle of Saiyans Vol 3 and forward.)

I don't think the 30th anni DBZ WCF have been bootlegged yet. I got my set of 6 (DB running ones... Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, Roshi, Tao, Bulma) for about $85 in early December from Japan. Bootlegs of the older DWC/WCF are hard to find, particularly with boxes. The only set of bootlegs with boxes I've ever gotten was the wedding Chi Chi and Goku, and I knew they were bootlegs when I bought them. They lack the sticker. The battle of gods and some of the relatively recent bootlegs from the last few years have had boxes too. I haven't bought any of them, because I just don't care for them, and their prices are too high for bootlegs. Okay, he has that particular set for $125+shipping, so it sounds legitimate. Also, all of his photos have stickers. The only bootlegs I've ever seen were the Ressurection of F Vol.1 in a store and they all had boxes that lacked the sticker as well. I've been hearing about fake stickers online recently and that spooked me, but maybe that's too sophisticated for the smaller figures like these. maybe the sets he's selling for 50$ are used, I do the same since I'm selling my One Piece WCFs and got it on shelf some time and now back to box. And the ones for 300$+ may be are mint. Hmm... that's what I thought at first, but he seems to have multiples of many of the sets and they're all advertised as new. Anyway, thanks to both of you for the input. I'm going to try for one of the cheaper One Piece sets first just to make sure everything goes okay, and then perhaps move on to some Dragon Ball. Update: They're all brand new, legitimate figures!

I've been looking for some older (pre-US distribution) Dragonball and One Piece WCF figures and sets on ebay and was wondering how to tell if they're legit (not bootlegs). I know about the Toei sticker, but other than that I have no idea what to look for as I've always bought the US releases of them. I was looking at a seller that has certain complete One Piece sets for as low as $50 which seems incredibly cheap considering they go for $15 each here. The same seller also has the new Anniversary Dragonball sets and other newer Dragonball ones for around $100, and some of the first One Piece sets for $300+. I'd really like to fill in my collection with some classics as recently Funimation/Barnes and Noble/Hot Topic/etc has been importing a bunch of Blue God Super stuff that I don't particularly care for.
Nobody seems to talk about WCF so I'd appreciate any help with them.
