Why in the world is Guldo not poseable? That kind of limits the whole set to a glorified version of Dramatic Showcase if you want to display the Force all together. I was hoping to be able stand them one in front of the other as they were on the Ginyu Force VHS cover.

This was one of my most anticipated figures ever, but i'm underwhelmed. The faces are just too... emotionless? The Ginyu Force would have benefitted from some of the over-the-top expressions along the lines of what they did on the Saiyan Saga Gohan. Hopefully they add more than just these two.

Has anyone else noticed the servey asked if you would like to see:GT, HEROS, xenoverse? - I myself am not to fond of Hero’s the anime. However, some of the designs are cool. Getting the hero’s Ver. Of goku and Veg would be cool. Or Cumber? Be careful what you wish for with that stuff. The WCF line really *did* include every character ever (the Farmer w/ shotgun, Appule, Cui, Blueberry, Raspberry, etc) before Xenoverse and Heroes happened. That all stopped dead thanks to those. Now, we have a big gap in the World Tournament and Babidi sagas, and literally NO Tournament of Power fighters aside Caulifla, Kale, and Jiren. Instead, we get 6 new Gokus every other month (and often not exaggerating), and strange and ugly Xenoverse and Heroes things. Point being, if they go there, we may never get to see semi-important original characters like Raditz, Cooler, Dodoria and Zarbon, etc., Hit, Top, Kale, Caulifla, Cabba, and so on.

SDCC Exclusives are usually obscure and skippable repaints (Arlia Nappa or Vegeta 2.0 would be good bets), not completely new forms (Base Gotenks or SS Gogeta). Blue Vegito was the only exception, but that was probably because of the Dragonball Tour thing.

Why is everyone still stressing about preorders so much? There hasn't been a single figure since Black that hasn't been abundantly available upon release. You just answered your own question. Black was a highly sought after figure that sold out and now has been priced gouged Well, yeah, I was the same way for the first few, but at this point I'm just kind of over it. I mean, I'll pre-order them if I happen to come across it easily enough somewhere I don't have to pay extra shipping, but when the pre orders sell out in minutes and require online camping I'm just kind of over it. I was angry back then, but I'd rather pay the extra $20-30 on the one off chance than have to waste hours and hours every single release. Personal preference I guess. Even Black had plenty available for a short window (much longer than these preorders last) on release day at BBTS, it was my own fault for thinking it would be ok to wait a day or two until I had more time to enjoy ordering it.

Most Banres & Noble locations nationwide within the last month restocked both so what would you chock that up to? Interesting. According to Bandai they produce web exclusives in limited quantities, and once it's sold out they don't produce another "wave", so theorically it's gone. Unless Bandai decide to go against their own market policies now. I'm curious Don't be fooled! The Barnes and Noble restock ONLY included figures that were still in stock at places like BBTS, which essentially means that Bluefin still had stock left of them whether they were web-exclusives or not. Once Bluefin exhausts their stock, they'll be gone. That's completely different from the figures that are getting re-printed; Kid Goku, Scouter Vegeta, and Earth Saiyan Goku. Those aren't web-exclusives.

I know I'm kind of late to the party on these, but I really want to get into this line. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to start? Good places to buy them? Also, where are new releases announced and sold at? I do plan on saving up and dropping a few grand on a collection of them to get me off to a good start, but would prefer to buy from somewhere other than ebay. Thanks! ^o^ Ebay is really the best bet at this point though. If you're careful and buy complete sets from Japan based sellers with good ratings, you'll likely be ok. I'd start by getting Super Vol 1-10 and maybe Resurrection F, cause those are still easy enough to complete a saga subset. If you get some Battle of Gods blind boxes too, you'll have a very respectable Super collection up to the Tournament of Power (which this line completely screwed). I think they're going to look especially cool with all of the upcoming Broly movie sets. As for actual stores getting them, it's really hit or miss and always has been. Box Lunch gets the Blind Boxes and has a seemingly endless supply of Super Vol.6. Hot Topic and Barnes and Noble don't seem to carry them anymore, but even when they did, they'd skip sets. BBTS has preorders for the One Piece sets, but not always the Dragonball. As for checking out what's upcoming, I use this link

I’m still irritated Super Buu preorders sold out @ big bad toy store. I’ve waited years for a Super or Kid Buu and it sucks I missed out on preordering it. Guess I’ll just pay the eBay scalper price at $80 when he releases. Oh well. Check the page every day and I guarantee you will be able to get one sooner rather than later. I got a Hercule there last week and I just saw 3 more today. People preorder at more websites than they want and are cancelling all the time.

I totally get wanting certain characters as Figuarts, but could we keep all of the Demoniacal fit stuff out of this thread and in the bootleg forum instead? Browsing the last 10 or so pages of this there's less about actual Figuarts and more about these bootlegs (that are clearly of a much lower quality than Figuarts).
There are so many cool and different Figuarts coming out this year, so it's not like there's a shortage of things to talk about either.

Mr Satan is one of the most important characters of the Buu saga. The fact that you call him Hercule shows you’ve only watched the English dub and don’t fully understand his character Haven't we all moved on from sub elitism by now? Dragging the name of all dub fans through the mud just because you disagree with one guy's opinion of a character is immature and uncalled for.

... I'm not trying to be offensive, but I really hate the whole "waste of a spot" talk. Are there characters I think are more deserving? Oh, absolutely. But the reality of how this works is, Android 21 is a promotional gimmick to cross promote Fighter Z, and the cost of new tooling was likely offset by the money they were paid to make it. Same with Broly and the new movie. Mr. Satan makes perfect sense with the Fat Buu coming later this year, giving collectors a greater reason to buy both. Even assuming Tamashii keeps to their 1 per month release schedule (and doesn't increase that output for 2019) it's a couple new figures you won't be buying rather than repaints and re-issues you probably won't be buying (ho boy, UI Goku, yet another Goku variant in Tamashii's sea of Goku releases.) Besides, this is just what came out today. Even if we SOMEHOW only get these reveals for SDCC (and until Sunday comes and goes I wouldn't be too shocked to see some surprises snuck in) They are promoting this whole Dragon Ball Tour thing HARD. They shelled out for 4 convention exclusive repaints (even if one isn't an actual figure) and have rolled out 3 reveals for SDCC's opening day. I wouldn't be surprised to see them roll out one or two per convention, just to keep the hype train going. It might even explain the bizarre supply issues... they were diverting company money into this. That's the problem though... there's zero chance that a dud takes the spot of a Goku. The Gokus are coming no matter what. Meanwhile, we already have the Time Patrol Ace figure, and do many people really care anymore? I never see it displayed or discussed. I mean, you're right that the cross-promotional stuff helps to keep the series viable, so it's nothing to be upset about. But if I'm not into a character whatsoever, no harm in speaking up either. Fans of said character or figure are welcome to do the same. It's most likely not going to be a problem, but the game character figures do have the potential to ruin the line. As a WCF collector, I've seen it happen. We have literally every single obscure character from early Dragonball up through the Imperfect Cell saga... Farmer with Shotgun, the Frieza henchmen that stole Bulma's dragonballs at the bottom of the lake, EVERYONE. It's amazing. But Cell Games, World Tournament, Babidi sagas… barely anything. There isn't even a figure of Babidi himself. But what we still do get (now that Super is over too) is set after set of Goku variants alternating with set after set of video game stuff that looks repetitive anyway.

I'm pretty disappointed.
Hercule looks great. Even though he wasn't anywhere near my top wants, I'm sold.
Android 21 is a complete waste of a spot though. Ew. So many important missing Super (Zamasu, Hit, etc) and Z (Raditz, Bardock, Cooler, etc) characters and we get this??? Heck, I'd rather have 19 and 20 first.

The V2 is the one I'd skip. The shuriken is cool, no doubt, but the figure itself is inferior to V3 in my opinion. If I'm going to display Naruto with the frog eyes that V2 and most of the V3 heads have, I'd want him to have the long jacket too. I guess it's just a matter of if you'd rather have the jacket or the shuriken. Got the point! I was thinking about it (skipping V2) anyway. I like the V1, and the V3 seems to be an improved V2, so... it's a no-brainer! But, yeah! The lack of the shuriken - the great improvement of the V2, compared to V1, for me - is a pain... Turns out V3 has a shuriken after all. So you don't need V2.

Has anybody got Frieza from BBTS yet? I just bought a second one in a physical store, so I'm finding it kind of odd I'm still waiting on my pre-ordered one.
