BrolyLSSJ01 I'd recommend a softer brush like a Watercolor or Acrylic brush for thin layering. The important thing about using a watercolor brush tho, is to make sure you clean it right away. Acrylic paint can really do a job on watercolor brushes but they are really nice for thin layers. A store like Michael's has them labeled in each section. I forget the sizes but I really like using a flat-tipped brush that's pretty small (about the width of the letter "N" or "M" on your keyboard). When I find the best brand of brush, I'll pass it on.

I'd recommend using a very small soft flat-tipped brush with thinned down white acrylic (Model Masters Acryl White has always done a pretty good job for me). I'd also recommend doing multiple thin layers to completely cover the previous black pupil. The thin layers allow you to go to the edge of the eye (without touching the black line around the eye). Be cautious no to do too many passes (with your brush) at one time. Maybe two, because the acrylic dries pretty quick and if you do too many passes, there's a chance you can get streaks. Do a couple of quick passes with the brush and let it dry (maybe wait like a minute between layers, or use a hair dryer to dry it really fast). Here's an example of my Namek Gohan where I painted over the eyes with multiple layers of thin white and added a black pupil:

i'm planning to customize the eyes of my datong scouter vegeta once it arrives (making the pupils small for a more anime-accurate look). i know it's relatively easy work but i wanna know if sharpie pens (fine) would do? I think a very fine sharpie will work. I use Pigma Micron pens, mainly because they seem to have a richer black than sharpie. Sharpie sometimes has like a purplish-grey look to them. The most important part is getting a good smooth white for the eyes.

I still have some minor touch ups to do with latex painting but here's the "pretty much" finished version of Frieza first form: He's a little taller than I'd like him to be.. I'm getting better at my wire armatures so hopefully next time I can get a more accurate height. Overall tho, the figure bends beautifully and the fingers move independantly of each other (originally I had used Figuarts Frieza hands but I ended up just making them with wire and latex).

Thanks Solid snake. I don't use an airbrush but I'd love to get one in the future. Generally for any faded areas, I use multiple lays of super thin (diluted) acrylic paint. I found out that it's really important to let each layer dry completely too.

BrolyLSSJ01 I used Model Master Napoleonic Violet (Acrylic) for the wrist bands and belt and it turned out pretty good. Be sure to seal it in some kind of matte medium so it's not too glossy. Here's a pic of mine: Attachment DeletedAlso, I used the SSJ Goku as the base (yellow Gi) and painted him with Model Master International Orange (Acrylic) which seemed to match the SDCC version pretty good (the normal Goku should be pretty good tho). The hair was actually the toughest part. I used a VERY thinned down orange acrylic (multiple thin layers) to get the gradient effect. Good luck!

Thanks! Gohan, yes, I'm pretty much finished with my 1st form Frieza (I'll be posting pics soon) and I have Saiyan Armor Krillin and Battle Damaged Piccolo on the back burner. Oh, and I started a Zarbon but I'm not sure if I want to continue with him or start over... I wish I could just concentrate on one character at a time!
