Why is his shirt so glossy, when the rest of his clothing has a matte finish? That just seems odd. I kinda feel like the only thing better on the PCE is the jacket and arms. :-/ How is the jacket better than the original as the original's jacket is color accurate?

I like how the blue pops more on the new jacket, depending on what material you're using for reference the jacket has been just as vibrant of blue. But, that's about it. I don't like the new heads, especially the SS, much at all.

The OG is more anime accurate all around and his jacket was always purplish in the show. The eyes under the PC also take away points and the hair is MUCH better on the OG. Accessories are obviously better on the OG but I will say I do prefer the eyes on the PC. The colored in pupils make a big difference but the paleness in the face is a big downer. Overall the OG is better by a longshot imo.

I agree that the original Trunks is by far the best over the PC. Original Trunks is color accurate and more accessories of course. Also Bandai/Tamashii made original Trunks to be accurate like in the anime. PC Trunks is done only for those intentionally who missed out, and that's it. They had no intentions or plans to release a new figure of him in this version. I know many missed out on the original release or can't afford for what its going for, so the PC Trunks is their only option. Well unless they go with the DaTong. Which for me, if I didn't have a Trunks, and had to choose between DaTong Trunks or PC Trunks, I'd go for the DaTong Trunks as I want him to be as close as accurate as he can be, and PC Trunks is not it. But its really annoying how people say that the PC Trunks is better than the original while Bandai/Tamashii put all their resources into the original to be the one Trunks. PC Trunks they didn't need to or couldn't. But everyone has their likings and preferences and such, which makes no sense in a way as original Trunks is the one more accurate as that's how he was intended to be.

I don't like the new heads, especially the SS, much at all. Like I said, it really just depends on what material you're using for reference. There are just as many depictions in promotional artwork, posters, video games, etc. that have him with a vibrant blue jacket. For me, I have always preferred the blue over the purple/blue that they tended to have in the anime. But, even in the anime it wasn't always 100% consistent and would change from scene to scene. Sometimes it was much more blue than the other purple colour. Even the OG figure isn't accurate 100% of the time, in that case. But, the vibrant blue jacket is pretty much the only thing I like on the PCE. I hate the paleness, the lines under the eyes, the hair, the shiny black shirt, and the loss of faces and hands...especially, the loss of faces.

Looks good. Just too bad doesn't have a lot of accessories like the OG.

So much for your theory. You should know that a weapon doesn't make the man.

It looks weird when he has the SS head, the prototype looked better for the SS like someone in past posts said.

Wow, the focus of the camera changed my point of view a little... Obviously the original is better by far, but this one is actually not bad.. I do hate the fact that they took away the smirky face... Anyways, I will be picking one up.

I just received my premium color version today! Looking forward to getting it set up for display!! Out of curiosity, where do you order your figures from where you get them so early? Seems much cheaper to wait for the U.S. Release but if I could get them earlier for not too much more money I wouldn't mind. Most of the sales from Japan to the U.S. are around $65 shipped from what I can see. This is all assuming you are in the U.S. of course. If not, then don't mind me.

I pre-ordered mine from Nippon Yasan (https://www.nippon-yasan.com/). I am in the UK so ordering from US is no benefit to me. Cost was approximately $50 with shipping. Dragon Ball Z - S.H.Figuarts Trunks (Premium Color Edition) - Limited Edition Total products (tax incl.): 5,120¥ Total shipping (tax incl.): 1,090¥ Total: 6,210¥

Nippon-Yasan has been getting PC Trunks back in stock.
Unfortunately, they have also begun to jack his price up. I think they're aware of the collector attention of brown shippers that has been removed from the Western releases. They even pushed PC Vegeta up to the $90 USD price range at one point.
but he's back down to $60 now.
