Nippon has no chill whatsoever. They ain't afraid to jack up prices since most people will pay em anyways.

^ OMG! Ugh... I'm sorry but it just doesn't look right. The hair colors! What, did Vegeta and Trunks pass by the Cheetos factory before arriving with Goku and Gohan?

Having owned Premium Vegeta for a very brief while, I can say with 100% certainty that it is not as vibrant as it is in those photos. I know, I own them both, original Vegeta and Premium Vegeta, but its just very noticeable and odd when I see them in pictures. I don't take pictures of mine and yeah its not as vibrant as you say but that's due to the lighting of where you see it in, but among pictures it just stands out like a soar thumb. Even in person its just, what? But still prefer the original as the hair goes with the other figures. But the Premium Vegeta's suit looks great. But OG still better.

It looks really really good. It looks like the skin does have shading.

Ugh I guess the same thing is happening with trunks as it did with vegeta....
I'll just have to wait and get my hands on it. These pictures and videos don't cut it.

It looks really really good. It looks like the skin does have shading. Nope! No shading on the skin, its plain color. Theres pictures a few posts back that you can see that its plain color, no shading. he picture was taken flash so you would of seen the shading, but its just plain. Which is not a bad thing that theres no shading, but theres no shading on the skin. Or anywhere else in general.

It looks really really good. It looks like the skin does have shading. One thing that must be kept in mind, what they have in that video is the prototype. Every other pic/video of the Trunks that has come out shows the pale glossy skin. I shouldn't dwell on it, not like it will change anything at this point, but the prototype looks so good...just absolutely spot on. The skin looks perfectly anime accurate there and the final product differs greatly. I'm 99% sure the armored Trunks won't have skin that's even slightly close to either version of Trunks. Honestly...the inconsistencies, the constant consistent inconsistencies (that almost seem to be following strict guidelines, as if the figures are never supposed to be truly correct) are really getting to me. Tamashii has done so much to make me lose interest in the line...I've thought about selling my collection more often than not. I'll never know why so many mistakes are made. didn't mean to go on a rant. It's just getting hard to ignore imperfections in this line.

^ Its funny how people try to sugar coat it to try to make seem that its ok in their minds. Its pale, its not like the original Trunks, deal with it, be glad that you have a inaccurate legit Trunks. And yeah I know, "It depends on what material you're using for reference..." and so on.

As a person who values quality over 'accuracy', as if you could actually determine that given DB's inconsistencies, these premium versions do more things better than the originals. The paint application and smoothness of premium Vegeta destroys the original. I'd rather have a good looking 'slightly inaccurate' version than some trashy Irwin figure that looks terrible. This place continues to blow me away with the almost blindness put on quality here.

So for example if you were to get a Megaman X figure that the color blue tone is off and looks more of a purple blue tone than his signature blue tone, as long as eye decals are place evenly, no paint errors and such, as the box and the company who made the figure made X specifically to be in just in his normal form, no weapon form, nothing, just normal X but its in a purple blue tone than his signature blue tone, you'd be ok with it?

Yes, if the alternative is inferior. But I don't even feel the premiums are doing anything wrong to be honest. I just appreciate well crafted collectibles and whether you are a fan of them or not, figuarts are 'the' action figure when it comes to DBZ. There are no alternatives that come close sadly. Edit: I'm holding off judgement of the Trunks until one is in my hands but I originally was worried about Premium Vegeta because of the review videos and pictures and honestly, people just need to learn to take better photographs. The face is way better than the original and the clean body job has me immensely excited for the Cell Saga Trunks.
