I think in terms of articulation and being poseable, it was decent for a prototype. It would have been cool to pose Goku and Shenron similar to how this was displayed...

I only have 1 goku, and 1 ssj (manga) goku its sad. I need more. Planning on getting broly. It's not sad at all. As long as you have characters/figures that you enjoy, it's worth it. Think of it this way, although you may have missed out on some figures, it's great that you've joined now when there's still so much to look forward to. ...Getting Broly will most definitely help with the enjoyment part, too.

It'd be interesting to see what other sculpts Tamashii has in their warehouse/offices. I can't imagine it was only Nappa.

oh wow, toyzinthebox actually has free shipping for my state! that usually never happens! I preordered 17 off amazon since I have prime and the shipping is always free but if I order off toyzinthebox I don't have to wait until the end of the month. guess I know what I'm doing now... Yeah, even Tamashii stated that Amazon is very slow with releasing them. I plan on taking the month of Broly's release off the internet so I don't become jealous and order it from another website.

Bluefin/Tamashii posted on their Facebook: "Are you at New York Comic Con? Come visit booth 1612 to take our survey and decide which figures we make for you next!" If anybody is at NYCC, it would be really interesting to know what is/was on that survey. I took the survey. It asked a bunch of questions like. What retailers do you buy figures from. How did you hear about us. What figure lines do you collect. What figures do you them to make next from a certain line, Naruto/Injustice/Sailor moon. You were correct. I took a look at the survey. Quite disappointing there weren't any Dragon Ball Z polls.

If you guys scan the QR code that comes with any figuarts product, it will direct you to a similar survey made by tamashii itself. You can there choose all the DBZ characters you want Can you go to the survey website, take a screen shot, and post it on here?

Understood. Then it may be best to purchase SDCC Piccolo at the moment before his prices get too high.

Well, my city has kind of a knock-off Comic Con that happens. Called "Amacon". Never been, though. I've always figured if I don't have money to buy merch and I don't have a good cosplay then what the f's the point besides just browsing all the new crap. Kind of a hint at what city I live in, I guess. I'm big into comic books so I go to all of them in Chicago. I've only been to SDCC once. I don't cosplay at all but it's cool to go to the contests they have for cosplayers. I pre-ordered 2 Broly's and 16's from there. They're cheaper than Toyz in the Box if you buy a few figures at a time to save on shipping. You only have to pay 20% upfront as well. Sucks to hear that shipping might take a long time though. I don't really mind waiting a little longer. It does say on the website that if you pay in full then you are given priority should allocations occur with the pre orders. How long are their shipping times usually? I'm not sure what their shipping is like with new releases but I've ordered the Stage 4 displays and got it within a week or so, I believe. So it's pretty good, especially considering it's free shipping.

If anybody is at NYCC, it would be really interesting to know what is/was on that survey I think saiyen went. I didn't even know NY had a comic con I thought it was just SD. Comic Cons are quite common, it just depends on the popularity of the event. Chicago has C2E2 and Wizard World. The biggest one is San Diego, of course, the 2nd is New York, and I believe 3rd is Chicago (C2E2). Edited: I don't think Bluefin/Tamashii goes to C2E2, though. I'll have to check in April.

shifftymking has the right idea, to me. Buying Manga Piccolo and Manga Super Saiyan Goku is better, and I believe quite cheaper, than buying just one SDCC Piccolo. Heck, you can get two Manga Piccolos, too.
It depends on how you want your collection to be. If you want it to be complete, it may be best to spend the money on SDCC Piccolo before his price keeps getting higher. If being complete has no weight on your collecting decisions, it'd be great to get Manga Piccolo and Manga Super Saiyan Goku. There's many other factors for one to decide, actually. What you like/prefer, budget, and availability.

Has anyone ever used Anime Island? Thinking about getting the figures there. There's been comments in the "Where do you buy your Figuarts from?" saying that the shipping takes a really long time.

What the hell is going on with amazon.ca?! He's disappeared and listed only from third party sellers at $80 starting price. I really hope they just messed up, as I pre ordered him a while ago... If you pre-ordered Android 17, they may have already marked that down for when they receive their order from Bluefin/Tamashii. They might have already sold out but you should receive him if you pre-ordered him. Amazon is just very slow.
