Ah cool, I'll just use the heat gun to get a little reinforcement then bake it. I'll double check the width limit but it's a pretty thin sculpture so I think it'll harden in one bake. Thanks for the help!

Yeah I plan to at the very least go party downtown. 6th street in ATX gets pretty insane on Halloween.

What about manually hardening it with a heat gun? I believe the heat gun I have goes up to 450 degrees, same as the oven temp required to harden the clay I think. I'm wondering if I could use that to perhaps harden certain areas, while leaving other areas soft?

If I'm not mistaken the Jakks 1st from Frieza is way too tall, and his head is massive making him look really disproportioned. I'd go with HSCF if you're looking for the most accurately scaled 1st form Frieza.

I've seen other sites like this where you send the company $20 and they send you a completely random box of stuff, but these two sites are the first ones I've seen that are strictly set to a specific theme. King, have you subscribed to these sites yet? I was going to subscribe to Nerd Block, but looking at what the dude got in the video makes me not want to do it. The only prize I would've kept from that video was the Shredder figure.

My parents don't like Halloween, and I don't believe in their dumb ideas that it's praising the devil. I guess not doing it just made me not give a fuh! My parents were the same way when I was a kid. Wasn't allowed to dress up or trick or treat because it was a "Satanic holiday"... I think this year I'll host a bring-your-own-sacrifice seance mixer in an attempt to speak with the damned souls of the underworld and bring in the new world order run by the lord Satan. Be sure to arrive before the lamb's blood touches the pentagram, that's when the party really starts!

I know what you're referring to about the coating, I'll have to double check those to make sure but thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even think about that being a factor

So hey I have a quick question about sculpting with clay. I'm using some "Smart Craft" oven-bake clay from Michaels to sculpt a small statue from scratch, and I was wondering if paperclips can be used as a sort of skeletal system for the statue to give it support, and still be baked in the oven without the clay cracking around the paperclips or anything.

I'm right there with you dude. I can't force myself to pay over $150 for a single figure, even one as awesome as SS Vegeta. Hope you guys can all obtain Trunks before he gets just as expensive.

Wow that Luffy model looks really good! I'm not really a One Piece fan, but that is one of the best Bandai model kits I've ever seen. Personally I hate the look of the Goku MG models because of the face, but it looks like they nailed it with this one.

I was able to start a case after leaving feedback last time I got screwed, but yeah opening the case first probably would be a better idea either way just to see if you can get them to ship it to you. But if/when you leave negative feedback, be sure to state that the seller refused to ship your won items because they weren't happy with the end price.
