ah...that Goku pic is very disappointing...but WOW, it looks like it was made for Tien and that works perfectly for me as I planned on using that torso on my own Tien. I can't believe how good it looks.

I thought I was going to get 16 in February and boy was I wrong. Amazon says March 15th and ToyzInTheBox says March 30th. :/ I've found it's best to tack on another month (or at least three weeks) to every release date that's announced, delays seem inevitable for various reasons. Amazon has 16 listed as a March 15 release so expect it in early to mid April. |

seems to be business as usual with the release announcements. to be honest I'm far too worried about 16 and Vegetto to be worried about the prototypes.

I don't know how any of you guys would want ANOTHER Goku figure. Its the same body. The only thing different is the head. Its the same reason why I can't get excited about Ultimate Gohan. Also both SS3 Goku and Ultimate Gohan really didn't have big roles. JMO. Well I mean that's true too, but I've said multiple times in the past I'd rather have a second SS Vegeta or Trunks at SDCC. If it were my decision it would be down to one of those two...I just don't see that happening. I still think SS3 Goku is the least desirable option but I also think it has the best chance of being remade. |

It's tough to outright hate it because it is accurate aside from the skin and the hair but I think it would've been so much better with a matte spray. I'm pretty sure it's the only figure in the line with that complete glossy plastic look (which IMO makes it look cheap, the pic above shows a direct comparison, the SDCC Goku has colored plastic with slight shading BUT it also has a matte finish and it looks so much better)...and even THEN it's tough to criticize because I get the impression it was made glossy to go for some sort of lighting effect since the SS3 form has an absurd output of light. Regardless of all that...the end result is just disappointing. I really wouldn't have minded paying $10 more to get something closer to this.  anyway...all things considered I think an SS3 Goku with a red gi would be cool. It would be consistent with every other SDCC release that featured a darker repaint. not really consistent with any source material, but...eh. anything is better than the glossy mess that's out there. |

You know...I hated the idea of an SDCC SS3 Goku based solely on what I imagined it would look like...I hadn't even considered what it would look like with a dark red gi and peach skin (AND PAINTED HAIR...I still can't stand how the first version has custard colored unpainted plastic with a little orange shading). It reminds me of a pic I posted in 2013 that looks like an SDCC SS Goku with an SS3 head.  now I'd absolutely love a figure that looks like that since they're sticking with the manga colors for Ultimate Gohan. I'd like at least one Goku figure with a slightly red gi. |

The necks seems too short for the head (even though it could be tilted at a weird angle) but it looks very nice. hmmm...now I'm not so sure I want to skip this custom.

What regrets do you have that are related to collecting? This can either be from missing out on something or second guessing a purchase. This is in the general section but it doesn't matter if Dragonball puchases are discussed.
I'm sure I'll think of a few more but this is all I can remember off the top of my head. Back in 2012 I started my Figuarts collection. I picked up the SS Vegeta and SDCC Gohan first and had a link for an SDCC Goku that was being sold for $55. I figured I had plenty of time to pick it up as it was a fairly obscure site but by the time I was ready to buy it had already been sold. I still think like this and it causes a few problems...I planned on buying the D-Arts Charizard and thought it surely wouldn't sell out for a long time. I cared so little for it that I forgot about it for a year and when I was finally ready to get one the price had jumped to $200.

guess it doesn't hurt to say this since it's just as unlikely to happen as the web exclusives being reissued. I'm at a point where I'd prefer a 2.0 Vegeta...I'm not entirely sure how they could improve the body, IMO it's perfect aside from the oddly shaped neck, but if it were up to me it would have slightly updated armor, armored boots, and two alternate heads with faces(normal and super saiyan) with the same skin tone seen on the latest Goku. That kind of Vegeta would kill three birds with one stone.

I fully intended to buy them all but never started with the first wave. I ignored them for a bit and by the time I considered buying a few I found out some were already being scalped and I keep reading about numerous issues with the limited figures. I'd really like to pick them up but I think I'm going to have to stick with articulated figures.

damn it damn it damn it...I just received a Figma Thor and as I was removing the protective tape I slipped and snapped the waist/thigh joint. I've read that GSC sometimes sends out replacement parts, does anyone here know how I would go about doing that?
found the email and will leave it just in case anyone else needs it in the future.

follow up...they responded to my email and asked for my address and are currently sending me a new waist joint. So awesome...wasn't expecting this outcome.
