There was a video uploaded a while back on here where one of the representatives of Blufin Tamshii discussed how there is a potential re-release option for these guys and I believe the reason why is because they're not web exclusives. I want to say it's the video where the guy teases about S.H. Broly being release. something to the effect of the MMPR line is considered separate from the Zyuranger line, the MMPR figures aren't exclusives and can be reissued at a later date. Don't take my word on that though, it's just what I took from the video and I could be completely wrong. video, the web exclusive discussion comes in at exactly 2:49. seems I was right but I'm not sure if there's a 100% guarantee we'll see second MMPR releases. |

Think I'll get my complaints out first. 1. Packaging kind of bugs me, the blue seems a bit too purple for my liking. 2/3. NO SMIRK/COCKY FACE? Just two face plates for the normal head? (A bit hard to make this complaint since they were good enough to put in both the normal and super heads, but still).
Now...MAN, am I excited for this release. I shouldn't be so excited for what is essentially a blue Goku with Vegeta parts and new heads but I am. It looks so good. (aside from the face plate I mentioned) This is just about all I could want from a Vegetto figure.

Unfortunately no...the SDCC Gohan I was working with only had one set of hands. If it had the complete set I would've made everything flat but Gohan (the member) wanted to be able to use the hands from his SDCC Gohan on the figure and I didn't want the arms to look flat when the other hands looked glossy. There's a good chance I'll try this custom again with another damaged SDCC Gohan I have and that one will have lacquer on the skin...if I try it that is.

It's gonna be a great year for DBZ Figuarts. They've got the prototypes they showed last year, 16 and Vegito, and the Revival of F project they're working on. They're definitely picking up the pace of the releases. Maybe one day soon they'll be releasing a figure every month  I'm beyond excited for SDCC this year, not just for whatever exclusive they have planned but for whatever prototypes they may show off. Previous events suggest I shouldn't expect anything but I have a feeling they have some good things planned for SDCC this year. |

lot of people here. It's impossible to say the entire site has an open attitude towards reselling...many people may just be staying quiet about the topic. It's a tough thing to discuss publicly...calling out people for their spending habits, what they choose to do with the things they buy (right or wrong)...so much can be said about scalping but at the end of the day what can be done to change the way things are? I feel that every single person that buys a Figuarts figure will "scalp" at some point for various reasons. It almost seems like something that shouldn't even be brought up.

Finally got my hands on the entire Figuarts MMPR team.  Wasn't too sure I really wanted these...still not sure if I'll keep them for a long time...but man, I'm impressed by them.  |

Product recommendation...if you're looking for a sealant that protects paint and gives a dull appearance pick up a bottle of Testors Dullcote Lacquer. www.ebay.com/itm/Testors-1160X-Dullcote-Lacquer-1-3-4-oz-Clear-Flat-Overcoat-/191511831796?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c96fea4f4I've gone through numerous sealants looking for the right flat effect (Model Masters flat clear acrylic which is still good for sealing paint, a couple bottles of matte nail polish which looked great but chipped quickly) and this is the stuff I've been looking for. After it's completely dry it gives the surface an almost chalky appearance. Here are a few example pics...this is an SS Goku face with the lacquer. I wanted to see if it would get rid of the glossy plastic look (and it absolutely did).  Here's a spare set of Figuarts Vegeta armor. It doesn't really need it but up close it has a bit of a glossy appearance (and sadly no paint, I included the Android Saga Vegeta to show what the armor looks like when it's painted). With the lacquer applied it gives off the illusion that it has paint and I think it helps it a lot.  Finally, my most recent custom, Figuarts Gohan in his Goku gi.  on the left you have the figure at 80% completion with no lacquer or shading...on the right it has shading and the entire outfit is doused in lacquer. I laid it on a bit thick mainly to protect the paint but also to see how flat the figure would look and the pic speaks for itself. I can't recommend the lacquer enough, if you want a flat chalky appearance (that IMO makes figures look 10X better) on something you have then pick this up. |

totally agree. I loved nearly everything they did with MK 9, especially the "movie" featured within the game. I'm so glad they seem to have done the same thing for MK X. As I understand it... Scorpion is still a wraith but has escaped Quan Chi's control and now exists as Hanzo Hasashi. He's still able to tap into his wraith abilities whenever necessary. Something similar seems to be happening to Sub Zero and it's still unclear who has taken up that title (I'm hoping that Noob Saibot also found a way to break free from Quan Chi, I think that would be interesting). |

I know a lot of people don't take Mortal Kombat seriously but personally I've been pretty impressed with what I've seen since MK 9.

My mind is ablaze with possibilities after seeing the teaser image (hate to indulge my fantasizing but here goes). I was already hoping to see another normal form Goku release because I really want them to make new faces compatible with the first head (a confident/smirk face, charging/pained face, etc.), an RoF Goku would be perfect for this. The same can apply for an RoF Vegeta but I'm not sure what faces they could add. Aside from that it would be great to have Frieza's new form and maybe Beerus (which I'm still patiently waiting for).
