I am not underestimating the effort he has put at all, nor do I think he's overpricing them. I just can't afford buying two blast effects for the price of 1 figuart. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for them and this is only accessible if they were mass produced.

It's hard to justify accessorizing your current figures when you still have a collection to complete.

When I saw these a couple months back I thought "hey I can do that easy." So I ordered like 5, 6 foot long acrylic rods off of U.S. plastics for only like $10+ shipping. Then I got apoxie and tried to sculpt the ends. I looked pretty good, but once I painted it, it looked like crap hahaha

^ those look extremely cheap compared to effects others have made. Generally silicon is used.

That method is still more than good enough for most amateurs looking to make effects for their figures, and sadly, better than half the effects we've gotten for the DBZ Figuarts releases.

I'll eventually try using silicone caulk. I already bought some, I just don't have any ideas for what to make.

Have you ever tried this? It is extremely hard to control and even harder get the right shape you want.

I've experimented with hot glue. You can make decent effects but I don't think that's what it is. I'd have to order one to see and feel it to maybe get a better idea

Whatever he uses, it's stiffer and more durable than hot glue.

It's funny how vegito got so much hate from nearly everyone and we haven't discussed him at all since we saw his prototype
