Pretty weak showing so far tbh. I expected a big hitter and Broly might take that role kinda but Hercule and 21 are random (but welcome)

Well, if they’re gonna do cross promotion, I wouldn’t mind a Shallot. I think he has a pretty dope design

Really glad this Broly figure comes with the teeth grin face. That was the only thing that irked me about the original Broly even though I never got it. I was about to purchase a Broly figuarts last week then I waited to see if they would release the canon/movie version and I'm glad I waited. I prefer this design more with the pelt since it reminds me how savage the saiyans were back on Planet Vegeta.

Thankfully (IMO) they don't do 8+ prototype displays any more. Back when they did those, most of the prototypes were purely made for the event and we never knew which ones we'd actually get (if any). At least this way we know we'll (probably) get all of these.

Ok so I have been busy as of late packing for a move, came on here and checked the site and "BOOM" so much awesome in my face. New movie Broly, Android 21(haven't played the game but I'll still buy), and holy crap Mr Satan. oh fudge.

I'm pretty disappointed.
Hercule looks great. Even though he wasn't anywhere near my top wants, I'm sold.
Android 21 is a complete waste of a spot though. Ew. So many important missing Super (Zamasu, Hit, etc) and Z (Raditz, Bardock, Cooler, etc) characters and we get this??? Heck, I'd rather have 19 and 20 first.

... I'm not trying to be offensive, but I really hate the whole "waste of a spot" talk. Are there characters I think are more deserving? Oh, absolutely. But the reality of how this works is, Android 21 is a promotional gimmick to cross promote Fighter Z, and the cost of new tooling was likely offset by the money they were paid to make it. Same with Broly and the new movie. Mr. Satan makes perfect sense with the Fat Buu coming later this year, giving collectors a greater reason to buy both. Even assuming Tamashii keeps to their 1 per month release schedule (and doesn't increase that output for 2019) it's a couple new figures you won't be buying rather than repaints and re-issues you probably won't be buying (ho boy, UI Goku, yet another Goku variant in Tamashii's sea of Goku releases.)
Besides, this is just what came out today. Even if we SOMEHOW only get these reveals for SDCC (and until Sunday comes and goes I wouldn't be too shocked to see some surprises snuck in) They are promoting this whole Dragon Ball Tour thing HARD. They shelled out for 4 convention exclusive repaints (even if one isn't an actual figure) and have rolled out 3 reveals for SDCC's opening day. I wouldn't be surprised to see them roll out one or two per convention, just to keep the hype train going. It might even explain the bizarre supply issues... they were diverting company money into this.

If i'm disappointed because they are showing Android 21 (who I really don't care for) instead of SSJ4 Goku which I've been waiting to see updated or have a release date for many years now, I don't see a problem with that. I don't care much about the colors Nappa had but i can understand some people really disliked it. No problem for me if they comment this many times.
But you are right, SDCC hasn't even begun so i'm hoping for some releases that I like! ;-)

Ugh the SDCC exclusives have started showing up on eBay and for all 3 plus shipping and customs will be around £500. Guess I’ll just try and get Vegetto but he is around £175. I hate living in the UK sometimes.

It might even explain the bizarre supply issues... they were diverting company money into this. That's the problem though... there's zero chance that a dud takes the spot of a Goku. The Gokus are coming no matter what. Meanwhile, we already have the Time Patrol Ace figure, and do many people really care anymore? I never see it displayed or discussed. I mean, you're right that the cross-promotional stuff helps to keep the series viable, so it's nothing to be upset about. But if I'm not into a character whatsoever, no harm in speaking up either. Fans of said character or figure are welcome to do the same. It's most likely not going to be a problem, but the game character figures do have the potential to ruin the line. As a WCF collector, I've seen it happen. We have literally every single obscure character from early Dragonball up through the Imperfect Cell saga... Farmer with Shotgun, the Frieza henchmen that stole Bulma's dragonballs at the bottom of the lake, EVERYONE. It's amazing. But Cell Games, World Tournament, Babidi sagas… barely anything. There isn't even a figure of Babidi himself. But what we still do get (now that Super is over too) is set after set of Goku variants alternating with set after set of video game stuff that looks repetitive anyway.

Apparently, the guy I bought my exclusives off of had access to preview night so he has them in hand. So that's a big weight off my shoulders. I have mixed feelings about the prototypes shown. Broly looks great but those feet are gigantic. 21 is awesome and as someone who has played FighterZ a decent amount, I welcome her. Mr. Satan looks great as well and will go well with Fat Buu. I just don't understand why they went with these instead of UI Goku or some other popular and wanted stuff... Ugh. Was really expecting a 2.0 Piccolo, UI Goku, and a couple other things.
