Well, it's important to point out that Irwin figures were $6 when new and Jakks were usually $8 when new, not $38 to $42 when new, so of course Figuarts figures should be a lot better. I still want an affordable line of 5 inch scale figures made that fills in characters missing from my collection. At this point, I imagine it's a dream, because the characters I'm missing are ones so minor that they would probably never be made. 5 inch scale movie villains and DB (not DBZ) characters would still help me fill out my collection though. It's like they say, you get what you pay for. If you like the Irwin and Jakks figures, there's plenty of advantages-less space, larger selection of characters, easier for dusting/ re-posing, better chance of getting a different version of a character you missed out on, and durability. One really good advantage that we don't get with Figuarts is that you're not forced to pay for some accessory or effect part you don't want. They take up too much space, so I haven't even taken them out of the box. Then again, I'm sure a lot of people would call me nuts, and think that was an advantage. Personally, the figuarts are the only type of figure that appeal to me, but to each their own! |

It certainly is true that the price was much, much lower and the technology was not as good. It may be a harsh judgment, but as a collector in this day and age, I think I'm allowed to say that the Jakks and Irwin don't interest me.

I'm not a massive fan of the Irwin and Jakks figures either. I see the occasional one that I like, and I'm rather fond of the Movie Collection figures, but that's about it.

I personally lost interest in my entire Jakks and Irwin collection that I've stored them away from being displayed. I'm contemplated now if I should sale them all, but I doubt I'll make anything close of what I've spent on them. |

Well if you have a large collection there's not too much harm that can come of displaying them can there? I'm not 100% opposed to them existing or anything, it's just that I wouldn't buy them myself. Of course it's your own belongings that you can choose what to do with, so don't mind me too much.

Hey guys. I was wondering if anybody knows of any news about s.h figuarts making a god goku figure? I have seen 2 different pictures online on google. And they are not customs. Hopefully when vegito releases he comes with gokus and vegetas 'dance hands'as well. Kind of like how 18 cones with a krillin accessory

You're thinking of Gogeta. Gogeta is formed via the fusion dance. Vegetto is formed via Potarra earrings, so if they were to include anything, it'd be a set of earrings you can stick onto Goku and Vegeta's ears. Not a bad idea!  |
