Snagged one from anime-export, limit is 1 per person. Waiting on Nippon-yasan, since I was asleep when all the other pre-orders sold out! Kind of crazy how fast he's going. But also, I know there won't be a shortage of this one. I think everyone is just wanting to grab some at the beginning because we're so used to Normal Version Goku costing us an arm and a leg, especially if we want the SDCC one with the kanji.
Either way.. hopefully Nippon-yasan gets him listed soon! If not, I'll pre-order from some reputable sellers in the FB Group. Planning on getting a few of him for customs! What about all of you?

Pre-ordered mine from Alex since he's a regular release. All web exclusives I purchase from a JP retailer.

Y'all are all crazy. Aside from the fact that Goku will be on Amazon too (not helpful for international members, but definitely easier for those of us here in the states) it's GOKU. We all know that by 2020 we'll have like six variants of this thing.
Me, I like my Buu saga Goku. I'll either wait until that gets a 2.0, or just keep what I have, since Goku doesn't have the same issues that compelled me to get 2.0 Vegeta.

Nothing wrong with wanting a 2.0 version of a Goku figure that is currently limited to an SDCC release on the 1.0 body. This is an iconic form of Goku that's CHEAP and looks amazing. Toyz in the Box finally put their pre orders up in the U.S. and its $33... Lots of people will be using them for custom fodder as well. This release is just awesome all around.

well that was a good morning suprise BBTS has the preoders open, so I got 3 just in case he sells out. Preordered mine from BBTS, too. Bit the bullet and got Frieza while I was at it. These'll be my first Figuarts figures (provided I don't buy any from retail while I wait), so suffice it to say I'm quite excited. Y'all are all crazy. Personally I, too would prefer Buu Saga Goku 2.0 - especially considering Majin Vegeta's upcoming release - and honestly I'd even prefer Saiyan Arc Goku over Frieza Arc, but I have to agree with th3madcow on all fronts. For those who don't yet have an ordinary Z Goku, this is a great release.

I'm not disputing that, I'm more expressing my exasperation at stuff like setting alarms for pre-orders of this figure. Unless you're specifically after THIS SPECIFIC version, I wouldn't be stressing. Aside from the fact that US retailers exist as well (I've personally been waiting for amazon on all figuarts DBZ releases. They get there a bit later, but I get free shipping) Tamashii has a history of re-releasing Gokus. Slap a new kanji on him, OMG convention exclusives for the next 4 years, not to mention the fact that we haven't even seen the almighty SSJ Goku in 2.0. Basically:

On that front, I would actually agree. And stellar GIF.

Basically: I would agree, I don't order from a Japanese company and I don't set any alarms I was surprised that the preorder was even up, I'm happy to use the body and heads for customs if need be (at that price).

Slap a new kanji on him, OMG convention exclusives for the next 4 years, not to mention the fact that we haven't even seen the almighty SSJ Goku in 2.0. Basically: It may sound crazy, but i'm just pointing out facts. As I said before, those ordering from Europe typically pay $20+ shipping to import from US, Amazon included. Shipping from Japan is $7. In addition, with Japan pre-orders the product is significantly discounted, ships on the original date, and in some cases, the value can be marked down to avoid customs and import duty. As far as aftermarket prices, take Goku SSJ3 and Shenron for example. Each have already increased in price by about $20 since release with no word of a re-release 12 months laters. In fact, I sadly missed pre-orders for both of these, and had to settle on paying an extra $10 on each through a Rakuten shop. $10 per figure doesn't sound like much, but it can be over $100 per year when you add it up. So in conclusion, yes, we can all get Goku, but that goes for all Figuarts, past and present. The important factors, are a) how much do you want to pay and b) how soon do you want it. If your answer is, "for the cheapest price" and "as soon as" then your best bet is setting an alarm and snagging the Japan pre-orders. Great GIF btw

Man, I missed the Nippon-yasan one, too! Gah... Ended up going with otakumode.com for max of 3, and anime-export for max of 1.
