I'm uncomfortable knowing they're "display only". We've seen SS4 Goku on display multiple times with no news. Not gonna be satisfied until they set a release date. Most if not all releases were display only at one point. All that means is that they don't have an official release date yet. I'm sure most if not all of these will actually get released. Tamashii themselves said they plan on keeping the line going for at least 10 years. As for SSJ4, he's been updated from when we first saw him and probably still updating to the new 2.0 style. He'll be released eventually since he's Goku first and foremost and he's also one of the most iconic and well known versions at that.

From what I can tell, Tamashii seems like they'll be doing what we've all been begging them to do: Listen to us fans about what we want. Even if they're all just on display currently, I agree with prodigy1367 that we'll see most, if not all of those shown. We've been begging for Tien, Yamcha, Nappa, and Gotenks for years now; I doubt they would produce these beautiful molds with the new articulation just to spite us. Hopefully they announce those dates soon!

Yeah they seem to have FINALLY learned the error of their ways. They know the fans get pissed when they put figures for display and don't release them. They're well aware of all the feedback the fans have both on forums and social media. Adam said himself that they will start including more accessories and even mentioned their mistake with the crossed arms on Vegeta. The future is looking bright and eventually all of us will have our holy grail figures one day.
Except for fans of the farmer with the shotgun. Idk how good his chances are. Sorry lol

I think we need to be really patient with all these reveals. As of now, a lot of displayed characters have never seen the light of day again. (...still waiting on that Kid Goku) Honestly I also disagree with the thinking that Tamashii finally started to listen to the fanbase. I don't think the Xenoverse TP was anyones wish ... maybe as an extra in some collector's edition of the game. They have always shown awesome prototypes but releasing them is a completely different chapter. We should not talk about a bright future for this line, before any release dates have been confirmed. As of now we can only anticipate a 2.0 Goku and 2.0 Piccolo at some point. Hope for the best but expect the worst.
Another thought: After seeing the latest episode of Super, I know which particular effect piece I absolutely need in my life if they ever release a Goku Black.

Just realized we got a generic time patroller before a BUU a buu figure is a no brainer by now. he's the only main villian without a sh figuarts. the worst about it is that the may release him as a tamashii web exclusive

Well with Gotenks we're pretty much guaranteed Super Buu. They could release him with his other forms they showed before except with the 2.0 tech. God I love those Buu prototypes, he's my favorite villain of DBZ

Don't leave us hanging Tamashii ... again.

I think the problem is that both those figures didn't sell very well, so Bandai is skeptical about releasing Buu saga characters, however maybe they are giving it a second wind and see if Gotenks can sell, which I think it will

It's only my opinion, and I don't have solid info to back it up, but I believe the fact that there are a lot more standard releases now may very well help, along with the fact that these characters would all have new molds. Casual fans would buy them and collectors would buy them. Again, not fact, but just my two cents

Eh, all I know is that I don't care enough to buy doubles of every character just to have a 2.0 version. I'll buy Goku, SS3, maybe Scouter Vegeta. But, I'm not gonna be paying $50-60 for another Gohan, Vegito, and others. As much as I like Piccolo, he's just not enough to warrant a 2.0 repurchase, either.
So, they better move onto new characters. :-/

Everyone forgive my stupidity but what exactly is a web shop limited?? I never quite understood what that meant, does that mean it can only be purchased online? like no actual comic store has it?? or does it mean its only sold through the tamashii website? I know it usually means it wont get re-release. Its probably been asked before sorry

They shifted their focus to that and now they're capitalizing on Xenoverse. Looks like they'll be back on track now and the releases will be more varied across all the incarnations of DB
