Some of you guys may he getting your hopes up a BIT too much. Multiple torsos? Yamcha and Puar 2-Pack? Tien and Chaotzu 2-pack? Multiple hairstyles for Yamcha? Don't be naive. This is Tamashii we're talking about after all. Well, Gohan came with SS and SS2 hair. They should engineer the faces of Yamcha to fit two different pieces of hair. It looks in the pictures as if the Yamcha prototype is early-enough that the face and hair are one piece currently. I doubt it will be like that. Tien will be like that, for obvious reasons (he lacks hair, just like Golden Frieza and others who come with multiple heads), but I would think Yamcha would be just like Ultimate Gohan (and other characters with hair) and come with faces that fit the hair. And adding Puar would not be that much different than adding a Kamehameha effect piece to Cell, as that took up a lot of the package, though obviously that was not articulated and painted much. Android 18 came with a Krillin head, 4 faces, and two extra hair pieces. A static Puar that is to scale is all that is (in my opinion) required. But I'd prefer she have neck articulation at minimum. It'd be nice if her tail, legs, and arms could have ball joints as well (5 total ball joints). 3 swappable faces would be nice, but not totally necessary... though I'd like that. It would surely raise the price of Yamcha by at least $10 to $15, but since the prices of these are not all the same, I don't see how that matters. Broly was enormous and expensive. Android 16 wasn't as enormous, but was extremely expensive for what he was and what he came with. A Yamcha with 2 hair styles and a Puar doesn't seem that ridiculous to hope for.
Tien coming with Chaozu is pretty unlikely. But we need the little booger. And we don't need one that is oversized and able to be sold for $40+. We need a $25 to $30 Chaozu that is appropriately small. In the Sailor Moon line, they made Chibi Moon appropriately scaled, and she was sold for around $30 to $35, and Chaozu would be much smaller than that and need fewer accessories... but could include fantastic add-on pieces for Tien and Yamcha... he could come with Puar... extra parts for Yamcha and/or Tien... or other things to justify a $30+ price tag. 
If Tien's green body wrap could come off so he'd be shirtless, that would be awesome, but I doubt they'll do that. It would probably be hard to make it fit perfectly. But I still hope it's done that way.

That's a good point, but we don't really see effort like that in the DBZ line. Or at least, I din't. But yeah, Puar COULD be easy to include, but it'd probably be at the expense of one face. But I can almost gurantee that an articulated Puar with multiple faces wouldn't happen. It'd be a statue.

As boring and useless as Chioutzu is, it would suck not to have him in the collection, especially if Nappa is released

If they do include Chiaotzu and Puar with these two, they'll most likely be just statues or at best barely articulated (only arms, feet, and head). Doing that will raise the price though and tbh I don't think Tamashii wants to make these too pricey.
Personally I would pay the price but they gotta think about the masses here. A good option would be to have Puar and Chiaotzu as a separate two pack. That way Tien and a Yamcha get their own separate releases with as many faces/heads as they can and Puar and Chiaotzu get more individualized attention.

looks like the cape is going to be removable just like gohan and piccolo, it wouldn't make sense if it couldn't be removed

Figuarts Sailor Moon and one of the other characters both came with their cats. I think their tails moved but that was all... maybe their heads too. If we at least get that I'll be satisfied. The Irwin Puar isn't exactly great. Her head is huge and the pose is a little awkward. Plus she's painted the wrong shade of blue.

When Tien and Yamcha get release dates, then I can come out of this straitjacket. My craze for them will finally be cured when I see the dates (or date, depending on if they do it like the Xenoverse characters)  |

Guys, there is no hope for a Chaozu or Pu'ar. Those guys are such minor characters. I'm surprised they are actually considering Yamcha. It seems like the main focus of sale at this point is DBS, so expect a Goku Black or Zamassu FAR before a Chaozu.
I just plan to use those little statues that are inscale with shf for Chaozu.

I wouldn't go as far as saying DBS is the main focus of sale, so far the only DBS characters we've got are just BoG and RoF characters. They seem to be more focused lately on what the western market wants (like Xenoverse and Yamcha/Tien) rather than DBS which hasn't 'officially' made it to most of the world yet. I'm willing to beat we'll see some more DBS prototypes at the Tamashii Nations event but as they mentioned at SDCC, half the stuff they make for events like that are just showpieces (which I assume the old Champa/Vados were as we haven't seen them since). |

What do you think the likelihood is of that green shirt coming off Tien so he can be bare-chested like he was in 50% of DBZ...? Could they possibly design (or could they have possibly designed) it so it is a one piece shoulder wrap that folds at the top and snaps together at the waist...? I hope... I hope... I hope. I'm really excited about the Yamcha and Tien! I do really hope that Yamcha comes with Saiyan Saga hair to put on the faces though... Bare-chested would be the best choice. He was like that at his best moments. Except for this kikoho scene... unfortunately it has become iconic but it is the only important scene he wears that green vest. And this green vest is probably sculpted unfortunately. But I agree that a removable greeen vest would be awesome. We could even customize a white t-shirt. Also, Yamcha should come with at least two hair styles, but damn, this is bandai... |
