Majin Vegeta would require a completely new figure mold, not going to happen for SDCC. I am curious as to where does it say that SDCC figures cannot have a remold. I am not saying mayin vegeta will be a sdcc for he is considered another form or character. But like formar toy companies, a special color edition sometime came with different mold of the same character in the same form. Take SDCC 2015 goku as an example, they remolded his belt and added a face which changed the mold of the figure to make the same character in a different costume. A SDCC may be just another representation or different costume, not limited to only repaint. Maybe they could release a sdcc buu saga clothes vegeta non majin which I hope its not the case. I think the sdcc this year will be either Cell, krillin, or even blue gi gohan. |

To make a completely new figure for SDCC would be a huge waste of money for them as the mold costs a reasonable amount to make and they only sell a very limited amount - so they wouldn't make it back. Last year's Goku only got 2 new [small] pieces (the rest were from the old Goku body) which they totally could do again but as mentioned before, the 'reliable leak' said it would only be a simple repaint this year.
Even if it wasn't though, for a Buu saga Vegeta they'd need to make new parts for his entire upper body (excluding head and possibly hands), way more work than last years Goku. A Namek/Frieza saga Vegeta would be more likely if they went this way.

So when should I expect the reveal of the SDCC exclusive? June 16th? Also, do you guys know what figures were "online exclusive", like the first Super Saiyan Vegeta and Trunks? Vegeta, Trunks, Vegetto, Cell, Frizea, Broly, all the androids, krillin, PC Vegeta and Trunks, SS Vegeta, ssgss vegeta, ssgss goku, golden frizea, ultimate gohan,ssj3 goku. Did I forget any? Wow, so they can't re-release ANY of those without it being a different (premium) color version? |

Last year was frizea saga Goku, so Frizea saga Vegeta makes since to me. He's one of the Big 5 and they already have the PC Vegeta mold ready for more BS.

Tamashii posted a tweet about SDCC, saying they have "BIG" news coming up, which pretty much tells me it's a Broly repaint.

If it is Broly, I just hope it doesn't look like crap (compared to the standard one). I still haven't got him yet and with the rumours going around I held off recently hoping to get the exclusive version instead  |

The exact tweet says the Tokyo Toy Show has some big news, not SDCC. The attached image is just an expansion of an earlier SDCC hint (but it doesn't reveal anything). |

Frieza Saga Vegeta makes sense. Maybe that's why they're not including the base head in the PC Vegeta, SSGSS Vegeta and the Super Vegeta.

People keep forgetting that Namek Goku was a Mexico Nations exclusive, that was "re-released" as the SDCC exclusive. It doesn't set a precedent for future SDCC releases (which have historically only ever been repaints).
I find it doubtful that Tamashii are going to keep a Namek Saga theme running between their exclusives, nor do I think they will be offering any kind of re-tool/resculpt/extras in this years release.
In all likelihood, this is going to be a Frieza, Cell or Broly as we all said from the beginning. I've heard the arguments for doing a Premium Colour Edition Cell instead of an event exclusive, but Cell isn't a cash cow for Tamashii, so it's unlikely in my eyes.
On the subject of "Galería Tamashii Nations Mexico", I thought this was going to become a yearly event, but doesn't look like we're getting one in 2016.....??

Why wouldn't they do slight retools for the SDCC's in the years to come? They're basically out of options for anime repaints, the Premium Color Edition "sub-series" is also gaining ground, so what does that leave them with? I think it's very likely that's what we will see from now on.
