Branjita that is pretty funny. I'm sure you saw some of the anti-Yamcha posts people made there. Shame some people there haven't come over here and I say that for something else you mentioned, the thread is a nightmare to navigate through.

Reptil Did you know a Figuarts Megaman Zero is coming out this year?

Yes I did, I just wanted to see if there was more info on the line since there hasn't been any prototypes shown and I was wondering if there will be a SDCC Exclusive this year. If surprisingly there isn't, this would be the first time that the Megaman line didn't have an exclusive at SDCC. 

I like Yamcha because we have similar personalities and I like how he is used to progress the story with a human aspect. In Saiyan saga, he tells Krillin not to fight and let him go ahead so they can all see what tricks are up the Saibamen's sleeves and so if anything happens, Krillin won't be dead for good. In Frieza saga, he's used a lot to talk to Goku from King Kai's because he has the greatest friendship of the dead guys with Goku. Especially in the manga, it brings some reality of friendships to the show--which the Funimation and Ocean dubs kind of wash over, because they just want you to enjoy the show from a shallow perspective. The Japanese subtitled version and the english manga both focus on relationships more. Piccolo is still an uneasy enemy and Tien and Chaozu are just kind of guys who Goku knows and doesn't have years of history with at that point. Yamcha was with Goku a lot in DB, and because he was Bulma's boyfriend (Bulma being Goku's first friend), he was around Goku a lot. I like that Toriyama had reasoning behind his choices for things like this, even if his reasoning is lost in translation sometimes by Ocean and Funimation. Yamcha's also the one who has to tell Bulma that Goku most likely died with the explosion of Namek and can't be brought back with the dragonballs (and he subsequently learned from Bulma that the namekian balls can bring people back multiple times). The arrival of Cyborg Frieza on earth wouldn't have been half as good if Yamcha didn't show us how terrifying his arrival was. All the other guys were blinding running to their deaths, because not a single one of them was a match for Frieza, and he brought us back to the reality of "hey, we're going to die!". He brings a human aspect to the show. A dose of drama. Him not wanting to go fight Android 19 and 20 after getting a hand through his chest? I mean, I'd feel the same way. If I was no match, I'd be scared. Without story devices like that, DBZ wouldn't have that impending doom and emotional connection. It'd just be a bunch of blonde guys screaming and fighting quickly, which is all the show is to many casual fans. I mean, that's how we develop favorite characters. Is it surface level (How powerful they are, how they look?) like my fandom for Janemba? Or is it because we make a deeper connection after seeing the show/manga several times and identifying with the character like how I do with Yamcha? Both types of fandom are cool and fine no matter who you are.

On the surface level, Yamcha looks pretty cool, has some neat attacks and poses, and well, he's an important member of the Z Fighter team. He's in several hundred episodes of the anime. He's in every single saga. Literally, every single one, from the beginning of DB to the end of DBZ. Characters like Hercule, Videl, Goten, Trunks, etc. can't claim that. Sure, he may not be the strongest, and he may not be in almost every movie like Krillin, but surely 200 to 300 episodes is enough that every single DB/Z fan knows who he is

I'd prefer Bandai make a Figuarts Yamcha with Saiyan Saga and Cell Saga hair both, just like they gave SS Gohan his SS2 hair. Let us swap hair on him to fit the saga. And give him Puar so we finally have a good looking Puar that's accurately colored and sculpted well! Besides, for the people who aren't all that into him, he needs somebody to talk to as his forever alone self (or whatever you want to say).

Not making Yamcha is kind of like how Irwin and Jakks didn't make Guldo. It's like... "Are you serious...? You made everybody else, but left us with the ONE character we needed to complete our set?!" Actually, it's exactly like what Irwin and Jakks did, because Jakks never made him and Irwin only made him in his yellow suit!

I know sometimes people think that when I type something I'm speaking for DBF, but I'm not any different from the rest of you guys giving your opinion. I want Yamcha, Tien, Chaozu, and a kid Gohan made so I can have the entire cast of regular characters who are in hundreds of episodes of DB/Z. I don't lobby for kid Gohan much (or ever) because I don't feel like I have to. Lobbying for him at this point makes no sense to me anyway, because until a Nappa is made for him to fight, or a Frieza form 1 for him to be scared of, I just don't really care that much and am not all that interested in him. I usually mention Chaozu every time I mention Tien, and that's because I wouldn't want a Chaozu without Tien, but I could handle not having Chaozu as long as they made Tien.

This is my opinion... not DBF's as a whole... but I don't care if they make any BOG figures at all. I'd rather have characters from the anime series. I'd buy a Figuarts Beerus probably, but I don't particularly want him.

And if they are willing to do another Goku sculpt (rather than just release the same old Goku again with different hair), I'd much rather have a Saiyan Saga Goku with belt than a Super Saiyan God Goku. SSG Goku is such an easy custom figure to make! Saiyan Saga Goku with perfectly painted turtle symbols front and back and a belt isn't as easy!

I agree with Branjita i wouldnt care if they made Bog characters, i would still buy them, but i would rather have them make characters from the anime. Besides the dxf bog figures fit in perfectly...
