I'm sure it will be an SS3 Vegeta. My reason being is that I believe the Vegeta copy that's about to get introduced into Super will have the ability to go SS3. ................ SS3 is irrelevant now and this release is a regular release and not a web exclusive, thus it is unlikely to be SS3... It's much more likely to be Buu saga.... I... just... don't... get... how one comes to the conclusion that it will be Super Vegeta or SS3.... |

Totally off topic really, but man, you have balls of steel to go on a Dragonball site and hope to be spoiler free for the new series. I'm going to of course try and make sure not to post spoilers for you guys that are trying, but it is a Dragonball forum, about figures that are being made currently, for the new show. Hell, I'm watching the show as it airs and I STILL get stuff spoiled for me all the time! God speed man! |

They come to the conclusion of it being SS3 Vegeta because of how it was showed cased at a con like month or so ago. Its like they already have it made (prototype) so to them its more likely. Super Vegeta is due to how the new sculpt of Trunks is, since that Trunks is from when he faces off with Cell, so it could be a Vegeta in that similar body too (just scaled down hopefully as hes supposed to be smaller than Trunks) to go with Trunks. And then a PC Cell. I don't know. My guess is Buu Saga Vegeta too, as if it was SS3 Vegeta it would of said SS3 Vegeta by the announcement, but since a retailer called, image anime, already has a page up saying its SS3 Vegeta so with that theyre saying its SS3 Vegeta.

Ssj awakened goku was released about 3 months after it was announced and a couple weeks before release came the official pictures. So it's possible that it can be any type of vegeta

Would it be a good idea to have a thread similar to this particularly for potential Dragonball Super figures? I understand people want to talk about that, and based on what I hear about Super (haven't watched it yet, got a lot of spoilers though) it would be nice to have a thread for that specific purpose. Or should that be contained in the Super thread?

Just weighing my opinion in here: but to create a separate thread for Dragon Ball Super would get really convoluted. Every thread would have to have a Dragon Ball Super spoiler free version of itself, pretty much two thread versions for every line of figures that somebody creates a thread about.

While people are talking about Super (trying really hard not to spoil anything here), the next arc was just announced yesterday/today with a new villain (only the name revealed) and another important character. For those who do know what I'm talking about, willing to bet anything that character/design will be a figure pretty quick. Yeah, this is the problem I foresee in trying to create a separate thread. When the Tamashii Features fair opens it's door on the 21st (10 DAYS!!!), this forum is going to be awash with image posts and discussion around the new announcements. For those that don't watch Super, it'll be easy for them to potentially share images of a character that they recognize, not knowing this is actually their "Super" appearance, and thus inadvertently spoiling it for themselves and others.
Equally, there may be displays that contain a mixture of Z and Super figures, which will be difficult to share without first sanitizing the image before posting on the appropriate forum, lol.
I agree that plot shouldn't be discussed, as this is a figures thread after all, but characters, appearances, accessories, techniques and anything else that could constitute relevance from a figure perspective should be permitted.

I agree that character interactions and plot can be easily avoided, however the characters are going to be spoiled. Honestly, if you don't want to be spoiled for the new show, you probably should avoid a forum that celebrates it.  If we made a new thread, everyone watching Super would likely migrate to that thread to no longer have to even think about what they post about super and the interactions of characters, hopes for new characters figures and why. We then would have one active thread with likely no spoiler tagging rules, and this thread, which would be deader than 6 months after a Tamashii event. If anything, I vote we keep this one thread, and if someone wants to speculate on new character figures, or an interaction on them, maybe use your best judgement on whether or not to spoiler tag it for those that wish to roll the dice here and not get spoiled. As for events? Well I mean you're going to see images from events no matter what on sites like this so that's up to the people looking to be spoiler free to avoid stuff like that. Tamashii sure isn't going to cater to people wanting to avoid character reveals, and I don't think we should have to censor excitement for a new figure here either. With that said, the interactions of the characters and WHY we are excited for the character, maybe that goes in spoiler tagged text boxes instead of blatantly "OMG Vegeta Vs. Raspberri was so epic in episode 39! I hope they become friends and rule the world together!" I'm sure it would be appreciated by a lot of people. |

Try to keep any discussions about Dragon Ball Super's plot to the relevant threads. If it's a Dragon Ball Super themed figure, in the SH Figuarts line, then this is the place for it. But beyond that is going a bit off topic and should be kept in the relevant threads.
This will also keep from spoiling too much for those who want to avoid such things. Unfortunately there will be spoilers about characters and character designs in this thread, as figures will be discussed and shown here.
