The only other Vegeta prototype we've seen is the ssj3 version. Would they release any other one if we never saw a prototype? Has that happened before? We didn't see the prototype of the new Trunks before it was announced for sale, think SWA Goku might've been the same but I'm not sure.

Seems i'm late to the party, but pretty much knew a new Vegeta would be next. A Battle damaged version like Goku would be sweet, but I expect that would be in the name. I guess Buu Saga Vegeta with a new sculpt will be the most likely!

Nah, that can't be reissued. This will either be a USS Vegeta or a Buu Saga Vegeta. I'm not too sure about Majin Vegeta but it would certainly be great if that's what it turns out to be. I think you nailed it with the Buu Saga. Bandai already has the body which they displayed awhile back on the SSJ3 Vegeta and the SSJ Vegeta head. I think you nailed it.

Would have been way easier if they did that in the first place, never understood the point with the stupid non canon SSJ3. It would have cost them much less because the head wouldn't have to be new.

What if it's Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta...? Not likely to me. I'm not too sure, but maybe they would explicitly state if it were SSj3 Vegeta. SSj3 is most likely a troll figure with a rudimentary body sculpt that, like the SSj4, will be improved upon by SDCC. Speaking of SSj4, I'm pretty psyched for that one. Just wondering if he'll come with folded arms or not. If not, then oh, well. He'll still sell well and open the door for other GT releases. Come on, GT Goten!

Well this is a surprise, kinda renders the PC SS Vegeta useless. Its like everyone wanted OG SS Vegeta because it was the only figure you can get Vegeta in SS form. Now if this new SS Vegeta coming out (SS3 or different version) doesn't have the metallic mac and cheese hair, PC, then like I said previously it would of been better if they just did a different version of SS Vegeta, which would of continue the line and satisfy those who missed out on OG SS Vegeta by having a SS Vegeta. It would be very odd if this new SS Vegeta is what the PC was supposed to be, Cell Saga Vegeta, with the actual proper boot tips and non metallic mac and cheese hair. But either way I think it could be SS Vegeta Buu saga version, which is a instant buy for me as I really like that version. But if it was SS3 it would of said SS3 Vegeta. So it can't be SS3 Vegeta.

I'm just hoping that it includes Majin faces so that people have a legit reason to keep buying the OG or PC version, as well as a more muscular torso (SWA Goku-style articulation?) to make it seem more... Buu Saga-ish.

It all seems pretty obvious to me. Not a surprise at all. Think back, they announce a re-release of SSJ Goku. Figure gets released, everyone buys it, then they announce Super Warrior Awakening Version. Then they announce PC Vegeta and Trunks. Everyone who wanted to OG versions pre-orders them. Then after pre-orders close they announce a new armored version Trunks and now they announce a new SSJ Vegeta.................It's like they are trying to squeeze in a double dip on their big 5 by releasing an improved version after selling the re-paint/re-release Don't be surprised if shortly after Gohan and Piccolo get their re-releases in May/September we get an announcement for their new sculpts.

Hold on I'm confused. So is buu saga vegeta most likely going to be this year's sdcc? Or its going to be a regular Web exclusive like bills and whis?

SDCC won't be a new figure and chances are this new Vegeta is the next regular release. Also, only Whis is a web exclusive, Beerus is a regular release.

We don't know 100% that this new SSJ Vegeta will be Buu Saga, but it seems pretty likely. All we know is it's coming out in October and will be a regular release, costing 5200 yen. As far as SDCC, we know this is based on an existing villain sculpt and will come out in July. Frieza, Cell or Broly re-paint are the current guesses.
