Frieza Saga Vegeta? He technically wasn't a hero at that point in time. That's about the only thing I'd be interested in...but I don't think that's something people would have mixed feelings on. eh. Honestly, I hope it's something that isn't worth picking up. I'm still burned from last year. My gut feeling says Namek Vegeta with the black hair.....they have his mold already and would just change the hair obviously |

How would they make Broly different without changing his mold? His basic form was skinny unless they go for that ugly look in that movie where he fought Goten and Trunks. They could go with making him paler and making his hair greener. Personally it'd be a waste since the currently Broly is perfect as is. I'd be fine with Cell or Vegeta though.  |

yeah, I just can't see them making a new torso mold, as great as that would be.
Not a hero, not new, mixed feelings...I'll guess it's Frieza that features battle damaged paint. Granted, I'd be fine with this and would definitely pick it up.

They could also give us the existing Vegeta remove the armor flaps and still call it Frieza Saga ver.

There's already been talk about a PC Cell, so this may be it. Seems the most likely I guess, but why would they want to limit it to SDCC and not release it like Vegeta and Trunks?
Broly? We could see a repaint Broly, but it's not something that's been hinted at or requested by fans so i'm skeptical.
Frieza or Golden Frieza? What could you really do repaint wise to improve this figure? Very little in my opinion.

Guess that kills my adult super saiyan Gohan dreams  I really don't see it being Broly personally, he already looks pretty much perfect and price-wise isn't that bad (compared to others) so not really a huge need for a repaint. Androids seem unlikely, without a new model there's not much you can do with them (and they're brilliant/cheap already anyway). Maybe Picollo. Well he was a villain once... Yeah alright not going to happen but it'd be hilarious. So I guess that leaves: - Vegeta (if he's counted as a non-hero), not sure I'd be super excited about that personally, only simple variants I can think of are Namek-style (not bad but if given the choice I'd still take the Saiyan saga version any day) or maybe a base form DBS Vegeta (really boring). - Frieza - Kinda hope not... Only reason to re-release him would be because of the current price screwing over new collectors but an SDCC exclusive won't help that much... - Frieza/Golden Frieza -> Frost. Super lazy Super figure, probably not going to happen. Either that or it's just wishful thinking that they wouldn't be that lazy in creating a figure for a new character. - Beerus, again seems unlikely as he just came out (still waiting on mine) and I can't think of even a single possible variation for him but he is a non-hero, and it would cause mixed feelings... - Cell, probably the most likely. Not sure how I feel about it.. I really want to get Cell and atm he's a little pricey so if the SDCC version is cheaper, it'd be nice but being an exclusive, that hardly seems likely to happen... Also I actually like the current dark colour of him, so will need to wait and see (assuming they'd go with anime colours). |

Frieza or Cell seems the most likely to me. Broly is possible, I suppose.
I can't think of much that could be done with Beerus or the Androids... and they've done armored Vegeta already.
A real long shot, is they could give us Goku again with a new face and scouter. Boom! Ginyu Goku. That would count as "not a hero."

Frost isn't a possibility since he's not just a straight repaint and he would be a new figure. He needs multiple new parts to be accurate.
Frieza, the Androids, and Beerus have no repaint options so they're out of the running too.
The only versions of Vegeta that are not heroes are Saiyan Saga, Namek Saga, and Majin. Saiyan won't happen since we already have one in two anime colors. Majin won't happen since that's a new figure. Namek with the shoulder pads is the only viable Vegeta that would only require a very slight retool although this may be considered a new figure. He would still make sense though since he goes hand in hand with last year's exclusive.
As far as straight repaints are concerned it leaves us with only Broly and Cell. I'd love Cell and I think most people would be content with him as well. Broly is the only one that I see people having mixed feelings about.

Then again last year's Goku release would've made a crapton of money too had it been a non exclusive. Frieza I just don't see at all since the most they could do is paint scratches on him. Tamashii may be lazy but that would be a bit TOO lazy. Since the figures are age 15+ I don't think they can add blood to the figures. After all, SWA Goku didn't have any. |
