Oh, the stuff about SS3 Goku and Cell repaints, and new Vegeta and Trunks...interesting, I hope it's true.
On the other hand, some new CHARACTERS would be nice. Also, if they do release NEW versions of Vegeta and Trunks, I hope they reveal what they are well before the repaints are rereleased. For people like me who can't afford to get multiple versions of the same character...
I really like Future Trunks in his first appearance...but I think I like his longer hair look even more. So if that was a thing, I'd skip the repaint and wait for the long hair version.

Business wise, it's better for Tamashii to reveal the new Trunks and Vegeta (if it is true that there are new ones) after the PC ones sell out. Think about it, everyone wants now a Trunks and Vegeta, and since the PC are web exclusive, they will rush to buy them as fast as possible, that way it will sell out quick. Then after a while they announce an even better looking Trunks and Vegeta, and everyone will rush to buy them too, since they look better. That way Tamashii can sell both version without letting the buyers choose which one they want more.

It sucks that people are so nitpicky and so angry about SSGSS vegetas head sculpt at amazing times like this, it looks fine to me. I am ok with Goku having matte finish while vegeta has the metallic paint, it doesn't look horrible or anything imo.
I'm still a bit confused, what are people talking about new vegetas and trunks? I heard somewhere around the last 3 pages that someone said the posibility of armoured trunks or something.
I still dont believe the rumours about Cell repaint and goku SSJ3 repaint... Just not happening at this time, next year is filled up. Maybe 2017/2018? I can only hope.

Goku got a new head that fits better with the new artstyle (like Ultimate Gohan and Vegetto) while all Vegeta got is the same head they're using for years just repainted, not only that, it doesn't even match Goku's! I don't care whether it's Matte, Glosy or Metallic, only make them consistent with each other! It's just pure lazyiness or I don't know what.

Imagine if SSGSS Goku's hair was the same exact sculpt as the first SS Goku's release, only painted blue or if Vegetto's hair had the same sculpt as SS Goku with Tamashii saying "hey the customers won't know the difference anyway." That would be pure laziness on Tamashii's part. The artwork depicts Goku & Vegeta's hair with more detail and while SSGSS Goku's hair reflects that, SSGSS Vegeta's hair doesn't. That's why everyone's like wtf tamashii

Fml they are rereleasing ssj3 goku im not happy with that because i wont be able to resell mine at a high price. But cell I am buying even if it doesnt have the kamehameha effect. Do you guys think ssj3 original price will drop ? That's kind of a crappy reason to be upset about a figure being reissued. Oh no, now I can't price gouge my fellow fans & collectors! C'mon. If anything this is only a good thing. I suspect a big reason why a lot of new fans that Kai and Super are bringing in who don't get into the Figuarts line is because it's far too expensive to go back and collect a lot of essential characters that have been out of print for years. What's the point of starting a Dragon Ball figure collection if you can't get Cell, Freeza, Vegeta, Trunks, etc without spending your entire tax refund or taking out a second mortgage? Reissues will only make it easier for new collectors to jump in. The more figuarts that sell, the more successful the line will be, and the more risks Tamashii will take on niche characters down the road.

Just not happening at this time, next year is filled up. Maybe 2017/2018? I can only hope. I agree in regards to SSGSS Vegeta. I mean, yeah in the movie his hair is spikier and isn't as wavy as the current head sclupt we've seen, but it isn't like it's a drastic departure from Vegeta's usual hair style so i'm fine if that ends up being what we get. As for the shiny paint, once again doesn't bother me that it's different from Goku's, I like the metallic and the matte look so if one has the matte and one has the metallic, it's the best of both worlds. The talk of new Vegeta's and Trunks as I understand it is from the same place the info regarding SS3 Goku and Cell repaints have come from. From what i've read there was an interview with a Bluefin rep where these figures were mentioned. It was mentioned that in addition to the Advance Recolor's of Trunks and Vegeta, the characters would be getting new sculpts later in the year. People have been speculating as to what these would be and Armored Trunks is just one of the possibilities. And to address advanced recolor's of SS3 Goku and Cell the word from the interview was next year. All of this is very limited information but I'd say probably late next year, early 2017 much like Adv. Vegeta and Trunks.

I paid $150 for mine. The advanced color Trunks and Vegeta have not hurt the price of the originals. If the advanced color is better, then I may trade my Cell in. What do you mean hurt? It hurts your pocket! This premium version will be much affordable (If it's real). I mean that despite the advanced color versions, the originals still go for just about the same price as they always have, so you're not really losing money if you decide to sell those. I thought that's what would happen with Trunks and Vegeta, but it's not the case.

If that's the case, then it may hurt less, but personally i'd wait to see them premium versions on the market to see if that's true. Although paying more than 100$ in a figure of this line is insane in my opinion. You can buy far more better figures with that amount. MHO.

Regarding the SSGSS sculpt, it's about consistency. Consistency and Tamashii's blatant disregard for it. The hair having completely different finishes and styles looks bad. Period. Sure some people can accept lesser quality but most fans would rather not have to settle. It's just laziness not making them look consistent with each other. If one's hair is gonna be metallic/matte with shading, the other should be too. If one gets a updated, detailed, and striated hair sculpt, the other one should too. They're representing the same form from the same movie and therefore should be consistent. It's not being nitpicky at all. It's making them aware of their silly mistakes so they can deliver a better, more accurate final product.
As for the new sculpts, I'm personally hoping for a Bojack Trunks and Majin (or Buu Saga) Vegeta. The PC Goku and Cell are bonuses since I already own the OG's but it'd be nice to have an anime accurate Cell and a better painted SSJ3. I hope the SSJ3 is the BoG one with the kanji on it so it can be that much more different from the OG one.

Goku's hair does in fact have slight changes when he turns ssjgssj, just like the ssj2 transformation. Vegeta's stays the same. Maybe they could have tried something else, like a little more spiky, but that's just nitpicking in my opinion. I am ok with it being the same, atleast they gave a cool paint. BTW why is everyone getting mad at this now? blue hair vegeta was revealed many months ago.

I think the same, but this is one of the few lines I collect, so I was forced to pay $100 for Frieza, $110 for Scouter Vegeta, $150 for Perfect Cell. I didn't even consider Trunks, SS3 Goku or SS Vegeta. Too high. But yeah, only if it's official, will I sell Perfect Cell. Of course, that's if the new one is better. I also paid $90 for a Figma Attack on Titan Armin to complete that collection. But Now I'm done. Can't pay that much anymore.

BTW why is everyone getting mad at this now? blue hair vegeta was revealed many months ago. We're annoyed now cuz when it was first revealed it was obviously a prototype and unfinished. This led to speculation that the old head sculpt was simply painted blue as a placeholder to display the new figure and that the new sculpt would be shown later on. Now, months have gone by and it's the same old thing. They still have time and could possibly be saving a new hair sculpt for the Tamashii event but who knows. Regarding the hair in the movie, the SSGSS hair is the same style as regular SSJ hair, just blue in color. Also, Goku needed an updated hair sculpt just as much as Vegeta and he got one since their is a clear difference in art style Buu Saga and onward (Kai uses the modern style as well). It went from the spikes being more outward and flowing to more bunched up, spikier, striated, and crisper. SSGSS Goku's hair sculpt reflects that change, Vegeta's doesn't. That makes Vegeta look out of place adding to the fact that Goku's hair is shaded with a matte finish while Vegeta's is unshaded and metallic/glossy. It looks sloppy and inconsistent. The pictures make this very obvious... Old art style: New art style:

I wish they were accurate and as detailed as the amazing Banpresto statues, but they aren't going that route. I wish Tamashii was more consistent, but the way I see it is that complaining on here isn't going to do anyone good. I don't mind you guys complaining at all; I'm just saying that's a reason why I don't get up and arms about this kind of stuff. When Tamashii tweeted pics of SSGSS Goku, I asked them to consider changing the hair sculpt to make it more accurate, and to change the gi color. I can do the same with SSGSS Vegeta, but I doubt it will do anything. Hopefully, someone will ask them about it at NYCC. If they don't make changes,I'm still going to buy them because they look good. Its not a case of Perfect Cell for me where the figure looked so skinny and bug-eyed that it didn't reflect the beast that Cell is. SSGSS Vegeta, while not accurate, still looks like a great representation of the Vegeta.
