I think it would've been better to open a special thread for him only when the official images and info are out...
But since it's already opened, then.... OH MY FU**ING GOD I'VE BEEN WAITED FOR BEERUS FOR SO LONG!! I'm sure it'd turn out great since the prototype was perfect. And I'm also not surprised that it's a normal release. Beerus has became quit a popular character among the fans since BoG, and they probably know that it would sell out very quick, so they want to have the chance to re-release him over and over.

They should probably realize the demographic of people that buy SH figuarts consists, largely, of adults. (I assume this with the high price of the figures). We don't get feelings of nostalgia when seeing the new Super content. The old Z characters will sell! Maybe not obscure characters like Android 16, but characters like Nappa, SS4 Goku, Yamcha, Tien, Bulma, Raditz,Majin Vegeta, would definitely sell and should be released before Super content. IMO

Couldn't agree more tsarquise. They could always squeeze some releases in between April and now tbh. I could really care less about Super figures. Sure Beerus, Golden Frieza, and the SSGSS Saiyans are cool and all but they really gotta go back and fill in some gaps for the original DBZ content. I understand why they would wanna do this from a business standpoint but Super shouldn't be their main focus. They could always sprinkle in the nostalgic stuff with the new stuff. I'm also so tired of the little game they play with showing us fantastic prototypes and then scrapping them. It's messed up and unprofessional from such a large company such as Bandai. |

lets just hope they dont jump to super, i really hope they stick to some kind of consistency in their releases with the dbz series, i want a buu so badly and know janemba will never come out sadly but meh.
Random question for anyone who has the information:
i was sitting around wondering, since these figures generally have a one time run, how many are produced of each figure? just kinda curious.

It's a personal thing, I don't really find the Saiyan Saga as entertaining as the Frieza saga and Android saga so I don't see characters like Raditz and Nappa as important. sure Raditz set up the Saiyan's but for someone who was the brother of the main character he didn't have a very long lasting effect on the series. Nappa was just a sidekick whose time was equally short lived.
When I first started collecting and jumped on the forums I was pretty surprised at how much a Nappa figure was in demand, for myself and most people I know he isn't really that big of a character. I mean the only reason I'd want him atm is to pair up with scouted Vegeta.
But that's one of the cool things about this line, people value characters differently based on which parts of the show they enjoy the most. To me 16 is as important as Nappa/Raditz, but also plays an important part in my favourite part of he whole series, Gohan turning SS2.

He may not be obscure but he's very minor to the likes of Nappa and Raditz. Those two would sell like hotcakes if/when Tamashii decides to release them. Raditz is Goku's brother and the first villain/Saiyan we see in DBZ and those thunder thighs of him strike fear into the hearts of millions. I predict I'll have a mini stroke when they finally make him. Nappa is freaking Nappa. Nothing more need be said about him. I've been dying for some more Saiyan saga characters. Scouter Vegeta is awfully lonely representing the saga all by himself. |
