I saw the trailer earlier but was disappointed we only saw vegetas face. But why do trunks and goten look the same as they do in the the buu saga?

Meaning the Super teaser that came with Kai's episode. The full trailer has yet to be released. Supposedly it's supposed to be released today or tomorrow. It would make sense if they released the full trailer to coincide with the SDCC reveal. I saw the trailer earlier but was disappointed we only saw vegetas face. But why do trunks and goten look the same as they do in the the buu saga? We brought this exact issue over on the DBS thread. I feel they should look at least slightly older. At this age, Gohan looked like a young teen and Goku looked like a little boy. I suspect that pure blooded Saiyans age slower than hybrid Saiyans. The more human in you, the faster you age. Imo, Trunks at the very least should be a little older looking. Goten's younger so I can let that one slide, but Toriyama ain't exactly good with remembering little details like this... |

Why are Trunks and Goten still kids then? Da faq? I knew it's been confirmed which is why it's strange that they're still this small looking, unless Toriyama forgot that kids grow up...
Gohan at their age already looked like a pre teen and Goku looked like a kid. Trunks and Goten have the same blood as Gohan so they should age similar to him, NOT Goku, but by the looks of it, they are.

But, Goten and Trunks were born without tails and Gohan was. That would make you think the Saiyan genes were more dominant in Gohan.

I guess the theory that goten has more of goku's genes is plausible to a certain extent but what about trunks? He clearly has more similarities to bulma than vegeta.

I'd think it has more to do with Goten and Trunks having eachother for friends. They can be little boys and fool around and rough house with eachother. Fighting eachother is fun. Along with the rivalry, always trying to playfully one up the other one. Poor Gohan didn't have any of that. He was being yelled at to train, and in his free time stuck at home being made to study. He never got to be a kid, and fighting was never a "fun" thing for him to do.
No idea when DBS takes place. It could be a year after, maybe more. Need to wait for more information.

If you think about it, gohan had a whole year in the hyperbolic time chamber and gotenks and trunks didn't. They were gotenks most of the time which is maybe why gohan looks older at the age of gotenks and trunks

It's never stated that they never had tails, we just never saw them. Trunks, Goten, and Gohan were all 1/2 Saiyans so they ALL should've been born with tails. Most people just think they were cut off at birth or sometime when they were young which is plausible enough to me. Makes sense since everyone knew what harm the tails could bring.
