I personally would love to sell mine for triple the money (if people wanna buy em for that) in place for better editions of them. I'm gonna wait like eddieranger said until I put em up for sale though. Once we have official pics and release dates I'll list em right away. IF the value does drop it will take a little while so there is gonna be time left to cash in. Look at how Manga Gohan's value was affected. His value didn't go down for a little time even after the re-issue was announced. I specifically remember when Gohan's reissue was first announced, he's value plunge immediately, with new listings on ebay for around 50 $(when he was going for 200$+ days before that). and I remember seeing a few Gohan's sold within days for around 2000-3000 Yen. Regarding Trunks and Vegeta, it doesn't seem like there is any considerable drop in value, as of yet. But I would imagine that in the long run, when the market would be introduced with new versions of the figures, now anyone that was looking for the figure won't be out of options as before, which in turn might hurt the value of the originals. I don't think that they are ever going to drop in a sense that their value would be destroyed by the new editions, since unlike Gohan, this is a different version and should always hold some value just due to being a different product. I do think however that is very much possible that at least at some point the old editions value would be affected to a certain degree. |

I am extremely excited for these new repaints! I hope SSJG God Goku gets released right around my birthday which is November 17 which is also the day Star Wars: Battlefront releases so a lot of money going to those items! Yes a space pod would be great! Hopefully on those releases you mentioned  |

Not "playsets" guys. "Display accessories" is the term. It's a collector brand lol.
But seriously, I wonder how different the "Advance color" will be from the original. Imagine if it was manga Trunks, how many people would just ragequit toy collecting completely!

i honestly get kinda bothered when someone takes their collection too seriously. Like if they would refer to their playset asa "display accessory" and correct somone like woah man take it easy there.
"nice toys". "THEYRE CALLED ACTION FIGURES"... alrighty then

I don't think it will be as simple as just manga colours. We've already seen that if they want to release manga colours they just label it that way. The fact that these aren't just labeled "Manga Trunks/Vegeta" makes me think it will be more intricate than that. Maybe they will have better shading? Or, better colouring on the hair? Or, maybe they will have like washes or something to bring out little details more?

On the subject of vehicles...I can't think of too many iconic vehicles in DBZ, besides the Pods. Trunks' time machine? The pink van the Androids steal? Frieza's spaceship? (umm, no, don't think that's gonna happen.)

I hope it was clear that was a joke. I'm not super serious about these things, I do regularly refer to my "plastic doll" collection after all... Genuinely though, I don't think the vehicles and stuff in DBZ are as central as in Kamen Rider, so I doubt they would ever get a Tamashii release. I don't think it's likely these repaints would be manga colours, probably shading changes as you lot suggest. And, roshisurprise metallic colours would be hilarious and soul-crushing at the same time. |

I actually think they can do some display accessories such as Saiyan pods, Ginyu pods (basicly the same just with Ginyu Force's logo), Kame house, Cell Games arena etc...
about the repaints - I really hope it won't be metalic/manga colors. first, I don't collect the manga releases cause I don't like those colors. second, metalic colors will make the figures look wierd with the rest of the line.
I hope it'd be just better painting, better shading, and maybe even more accessories (I'm talking about you, Vegeta).

Saiyan/Ginyu pods would actually be really awesome I think. But they'd have to be big enough to hold characters like Nappa and Burter, which would be...excessive?
And I actually wouldn't mind a Trunks Time Machine. Would be sorta cool I think. I'd probably be dumb and put my Mario Figuarts in it, but whatevs.
