Future Trunks will be mine! MWAHAHAHA Same here. If they ever release a Majin Vegeta I'll probably buy three. Only figure I'll ever buy multiples of.

The reason I returned to these forums was news on the reissue of Future Trunks and Vegeta.

Guys, remember that these are just repaints so your uber expensive first editions won't take that much of a price cut.... if at all. I don't expect Frieza to drop more than $10 when the Golden Frieza figure comes out.

It would be sick if we got Yamcha and Tien before we're all old and dead. Edit: Hey look, post 7,600 lol.

Now my question is, should I sale my Trunks? I'd imagine the original editions value will still be going to be appreciated to a similar extent, just due to the fact that they are going to be a different version of the release. But, maybe in the long run, when the new releases would be out, then we might see a significant drop in value. So maybe the best thing to do is to sale as long as their value is still high; thoughts?

Depends if they're just re-issues. If they're something akin to SDCC versions, then the old figures will still maintain their value. Probably not gonna be simple re-issue though since it explicitly says "Advanced Repaint". I would guess it would be a more saturated coloring to the original or perhaps just painting the boot tips to make em Cell Saga versions.

I'd wait until there's pictures and an official release date for the figure. You should hang on to it though. It seems like they'll be two different figures. But I wonder, maybe this advanced color version will be the new exclusive, and then the old Future Trunks gets re-issued, as well as Vegeta. Tough call for you. I'd probably hang onto the current Trunks.

But my thought is, while the original editions value seem to be still unarmed as of yet, in the long run, perhaps the new recolourings would be superior the originals, which might hurt the original value. which is why i am contemplating to sale mine when is value is still high. and then just get a few of the new version later on.

I'd say in the long-long run, the originals will continue to appreciate or at the very least hold current value. These new figures seem to also be exclusives and could potentially end up skyrocketing. So while maybe the original SS Vegeta and Trunks might drop a bit, I don't think it will last long.
To play devils advocate here for a bit. Could these figures perhaps even raise the value of the old ones? These repaints would very much help cement the idea further that the originals may never be re-released and so the originals in a 'First Edition' kind of sense become more vaiuable to the serious collector. Just a thought, I really have little idea as to how it could play out.

I personally would love to sell mine for triple the money (if people wanna buy em for that) in place for better editions of them. I'm gonna wait like eddieranger said until I put em up for sale though. Once we have official pics and release dates I'll list em right away. IF the value does drop it will take a little while so there is gonna be time left to cash in. Look at how Manga Gohan's value was affected. His value didn't go down for a little time even after the re-issue was announced.
