Neither are Broly, Gogeta, and Cooler; and those are very popular. Heck, did you see how fast Broly sold out? The SSJ4 design is extremely popular and I have no doubt that SSJ4 Goku will be made. He was in the short list of figures that Tamashii was making, along with Broly and Gogeta, so the canon isn't a problem.
I understand what you mean as a fan, but as a business tactic, jumping on DBS while it's hot is the best business tactic. It might be a flop, but people will buy the figures out of hype just like we're doing with RoF.

I'll definitely be getting the Goku, Vegeta and Frieza, but I'm on the fence about the other two. I was really only big into DBZ from the beginning until the Buu saga, so k may pass on those two. I passed on Broly, so I am still unsure if I want to pick him up or not.

Means they have no set release date "YET" I would say 2016 for all of them maybe Vegeta for December. None are guaranteed to come out, but we can hope. I'm still waiting on Nappa and the Buu forms we saw a while back to get dates. Vegeta is a given... He will prob have an date after SDCC or we'll see by the name tag planning for release... Like Android 18 had last year. I think

We'll get our older figures including that beautiful SSJ4, no doubt about it. Right now they're jumping on the hype train for the new movies and will most likely capitalize on DBS. Like @baneofdemon22 said, they gotta do what's best for business. The trend is that they're stepping up releases for the line all together so DBS might not even interfere with DBZ/GT stuff since we're getting more figures more consecutively.

I don't particularly want any of the new figures they are showing, as I haven't seen Revenge of F and doubt I will care about it very much, but it's cool to see new figures I guess. I would have highly preferred to see Yamcha, Tien, Chaozu, Raditz, and Nappa.
I might buy Beerus, but I really doubt it.

I'm only buying Vegeta because that's all I'm going to be able to afford (after I sell some stuff), but I think they're all really cool. Beerus is an awesome character! I actually think it's the best sculpt that Tamashii has ever done. I can pick at the inaccuracies of all these figures, but Beerus looks perfect to me. Urghh.....I really want him now! I agree about it, each of those new figures all have at least one problem (Goku's gi color, Vegeta's head repaint etc.) but Beerus looks just PERFECT. I think that it'll be my favorite figure in the line

I've tried to find things wrong with Beerus but I really can't. I'd say it's the most perfect Figuart to date. Hopefully it doesn't suffer from any issues like loose joints or limbs falling off like some other figures do. I'm expecting a Whis to go with him now too.

I say they do a system like dc collectibles did with batman tas. They currently reveal about 4 to 5 figuarts at each convention. What they should do is 3-4 from z then 1 for super. Then they flip for the next reveal.

New figures look nice. I imagined SSGSS Vegeta and Beerus were just a matter of time, anyhow. Jaco was certainly a surprise; and not a very good one. I'm not crazy about his design and I have no idea who he is. I'm pretty sure the new movie will not change my opinion of him very much. With crap like Jaco being shoved into the line and so, so many classic characters still out in the cold I'm not very thrilled with the direction the line is taking. I really wanted to be "all in" and get every release; but now I think I'll cherry-pick. Who needs Tien or Yamcha when we have the fabulous Jaco!?! Thanks a million, Tamashii.

Hmm...someone brought up Dragonball Super...and, I just remembered. It starts in about TWO MONTHS (OMIGOSH)...my point is...isn't it HIGHLY likely we'll get a bunch of DBS SH Figuarts...like...really soon? It's only been a month or two since Revival of F's premiere. And already we've seen 4-5 characters getting SH Figuarts from it. I'm worried now that classic DBZ stuff will get pushed back because of this. I mean, sure...I'm sure lots of characters will return for DBS, but chances are most of them won't do much. They won't be versions of the characters we'd want Figuarts of. I dunno. At the very least, I feel things will slow down for DBZ (and the DBGT) Figuarts, to make way for DBS. In dragon ball super goku's gi is the same in resurrection of f, but in a light orange(at least in the manga). It's likely vegeta has the same outfit from resurrection of f but a slight color change. So if we get vegeta with normal hair that's already 2 dragon ball super figures. As for other characters In DBS I don't know when they will release them. IMO it would be stupid to rush over to DBS without completing DBZ first. It makes things very complicated. The only way for them to do this right is to increase production I guess ! Oh and those waiting for SS4 goku don't get your hopes up because DBGT is NON CANON!GT not being canon has absolutely nothing to do with the release of the figure. As much as I don't like GT, the SS4 forms are still very popular. Just look at Dragon Ball Xenoverse, they included SS4 in the game even thought it isn't canon because the fans still like the form. Same goes for the figure.

Should've been Whis over Jaco. He's not part of DBZ damn it!

Same goes for the figure. Agreed. Despite GT's flaws (and numerous they are); it still gave us some visually interesting and fresh new characters and versions of existing characters. And as far as the non-canon argument goes; aren't most of the movies also technically non-canon? I didn't see too many griping about Broly in the line. And I'm sure characters like Janemba, Tapion, Super Android 13, Cooler, etc. wouldn't catch much flak either.

I hate the whole canon, non-canon debate. GT exists and is considered an alternate timeline much how Trunk's future is. Same could go for the movies as well. Technically Dragonball Online/Xenoverse is "canon" as well since it was essentially run by Toriyama from the story to the characters.
Back to the figures, I'd want as many movie characters as we can get AND GT characters as well. GT haters love to hate but like it or not, GT does have a fanbase and Tamashii will cater to it.

We might be getting a few GT characters first because DBS isn't even out and only 1 official character design for DBS

Should've been Whis over Jaco. He's not part of DBZ damn it! Actually he's a part of the DB Universe. His manga is an DB-prequel...
