I'm a bit surprised that we haven't seen a few notable characters from the Tournament of Power- like Tien, some of the pride troopers (Dyspo, Top, Kahseral,) Magetta, Botamo, Frost... I would buy most of these for my figures to beat up on haha

I may have scored a half-decent deal on OG Raditz as well, might just pick it up just because.

How do you figure? I don't think there are that many gohans, especially not in comparison to how many Goku/ Vegeta there are...

It’s just an educated guess, since they’re revisiting the Cell Saga so we’re going to get revisions of most if not all the characters. Expect new versions of the Androids (perhaps 17 without his sleeves when he was fighting Big Green) a new 18 (she wore multiple outfits so there’s an easy sell) another Goku in his Saiyan Armor, etc. They may even make Androids 13 14 & 15 which are technically part of it. There’s already a new Cell Games Gohan on the way (with cloth cape) so they’ll probably make a new SS2 version with like a broken arm. And Tamashii has the habit of releasing separate accessories with other characters so if you want Cell Junior then you have to buy Tien, or if you want the 18 😘 face plate then you have to buy the new Krillin.

I really want more TOP stuff but I worry Tamashii is hesitant to do more since the last batch of releases from it didn't seem to sell that well and also haven't really increased in price/demand either. Like Hit (who only half counts as TOP I admit) and Kefla have stayed in the $80-$100 range on the after market which is only really just above what they retailed for on P-Bandai, and TOP 17 and 18 kinda seem like they were flops they rotted on a lot of sites that sell the P-Bandai figures for a while. I could see that discouraging them when the Z stuff (seemingly) does a lot better than the Super stuff in general unless you're a Goku, Vegeta, or Goku Black lol
I am VERY curious how long King Cold and GT Trunks are going to hang around on P-Bandai for. Full Power Freeza hung around for a very long time and we only got any new listings near the end of that which makes me feel like he wasn't selling.
I imagine there's a point where these things hit diminishing returns, ultimately they are a company that wants to make money and will only do things for the fans as long as it makes them money. They already seem to have hit diminishing returns with the Freeza-esque releases if Full Power was any indication, and like I said it might have happened with Super too (could really see that being part of why the TOP Roshi has been on the back burner for so long). If they start seeing it with, say the GT figures down the line as they make more or with the movie stuff or with the obscurer Cell Saga releases that could be really bad for the line. I feel like the next few P-Bandai releases are going to be very important for Tamashii in determining what sort of releases they do next
I still really want Caulifla, Kale, Cabba, Top, Dyspo, and the Maiden Trio from the TOP but, I also do get why they haven't exactly been going full force on making stuff like them, even if I want it lol
I really should just learn to make/commission custom figures at this point lol.

I’ve been considering getting the Dragon Stars Kale since that’s literally the only articulated version available, and the size fits in with the rest of the SHF’s so that’s our only option for now. The Dragon Stars Cabba however looks kinda weird to me; it’s probably because of the overall DBS aesthetic with some characters, I wish they drew them with the more rugged DBZ style from the 90’s: http://instagram.com/p/CcxkKsyNBAf |

Well, we definitely need a Semi-Perfect Cell, Cell Junior and Super Vegeta before the line ends. Fight between Semi Perf Cell and Super Vegeta was my favorite. Majin Vegeta was awesome but Super is my favorite version of him.

Well, we definitely need a Semi-Perfect Cell, Cell Junior and Super Vegeta before the line ends. Fight between Semi Perf Cell and Super Vegeta was my favorite. Majin Vegeta was awesome but Super is my favorite version of him. Super Vegeta and full power Super Saiyan Trunks would both be awesome. My favorite version of Vegeta is Namek saga Vegeta but I passed on the S.H. Figuarts because I was disappointed by the lack of a middle finger and creepy "I'm an adult" face. I'll just wait for a 3rd party figure I guess. I do hope they eventually make Frieza saga Vegeta because I would probably get that at least, seeing Vegeta standing up to Frieza by taking on his first form is one of my favorite moments of his. |
