I'm just getting antsy for Cold. It's already been a while since Mecha Frieza went up for preorder and the 2 prototypes were shown at the same time!
EDIT: You guys: "But Tabuu, relax! Cold has been announced! Why you so worked up??"
The thing I'm stressing out about is not that they're not making him, but that I'm scared s**tless about missing out on his preorder, he's been my grail/most wanted for ages.
I’m getting a little annoyed by this myself. I pre-ordered Mecha Frieza expecting him to stand next to King Cold. I’m also having flashbacks to the Jakks King Cold, which was revealed two years before they actually released him to the point everyone thought they had canned it. Although fortunately I have faith Tamashi won’t re-release Second Form Frieza with pictures of King Cold on the box like Jakks did. I'm glad someone understands at least.
And the Jakks King Cold, it pissed me off having to pay so much to own him. But I had to. So I had to basically just suck it up and pay because auctions are unwinnable for me (thanks, deep-pocketed collector bastards...) and outside of > 400 bucks Canadian, you just can't score. With the Figuarts, I'm getting 2 specifically for that purpose. He'll cost > $100 but at least not 4-500 on launch. And King Cold is one of those characters whose merchandise just shoots up in price in a manner so steep nothing could climb that slope. I want to avoid that with this one.

I get being antsy for figures you want but
I’m just so confused why is everyone acting like they didn’t reveal anything? Like, unless technically he was not part of the event and just revealed in the middle of it in a different way so I guess “technically” the event didn’t have any reveals just a figure revealed during the event (what a tragedy), they literally did reveal a new figure, the Gohan.
It may not be what someone wanted nescesarily (I don’t particularly care about him), but they literally did reveal a new figure

Well, to be honest, I jumped on the Gohan. He's just too good for me to pass up. But Figure world was a bit of a letdown IMO, I thought for sure they had a whole Dragon Ball segment, going to aquamarina 's post, that's why. I'm mostly into Figuarts but from the DB lines. Anya Forger was pretty much one of the rare exceptions I made because I think she's adorable and endearing. As for my own wanted figure, I'm just worried about the huge gap between Mecha Frieza being up for preorder and any news at all about his father, whose protoype was shown off at the same time. I do worry they will forget about him like some of you are about Armorless Nappa and the other ones. |

I was waiting for some nice Cell saga prototypes and Full Power Freeza or something. But it is ok.
We got a lot of prototypes with no release date atm, so makes no sense for even more prototypes.
I POed the new Gohan anyway, I think he looks perfect and I loved that we got a fabric cape.

I kind of hope that's just some crappy lighting or a bad camera and Goku himself isn't that bad; I've actually had this happen with a few figures where they look worse on camera than they do in person. Hopefully, that's how it is here, but knowing Tamashii, I doubt it.
Tbh, I'll take this over him crumbling in my hand any day. QC doesn't look too bad otherwise, but he technically isn't even out yet, so we'll have to wait and see there.
