It is so disappointing to hear that we won't be seeing anymore villains for a while and that they seem to want to focus on blonde guys with spikey hair. Maybe we can see an American exclusive release? Much like we got the special SSJ Vegeta release. I'm also really hoping for a Tien and Yamcha release and some of the other side characters. Guess we'll see.

I'm actually really bummed they said we probably won't get another villain for a while. I want some people for these guys to fight damn it! We do definitely need a Buu. It's a shame we may not see one for awhile. Well I think it's gonna be really slim since they said villains don't sell well. And Frieza and cell were released and they are both more popular than buu especially Frieza. If they can't make money off a figure then they won't release it. Guess hybrid kid buu and Irwin fat buu is the way to go.

Im still going to buy them as they come out. Im excited for the krillin and goku the most. cant wait! At one point, this line was dead, ss gohan gave it hope then vegeta and trunks revived it imo. Im really happy with the lineup so far.

More than likely old news but has anyone else noticed this pic that's been floating around the web. Could we maybe be seeing a Great Saiyaman figure?

Okay So PwnStar511 gave another update, might as well forward that too. Not too much news, BUT, some members on this board might gonna lose interest in the line for real now. I've marked a few things in bold (I corrected his use of tamashii, which was already done by others on the board itself):
Hey guys,
Back from day two and my feet and legs are absolutely shot lol. Today was way busier than yesterday and I can't imagine how crazy tomorrow will be! To answer an earlier question, they basically have me manage the lines and answer questions about the figures for sale. It's neat to be able to talk to so many passionate collectors!
If there's one thing I learned, it's people love these Bandai figures! Non stop lines all day, specifically for those exclusives!
Anyway, I'm glad you guys found the info helpful. I don't have much more info today but one interesting thing I found out is that Bluefin seems to have SOME say in what the final releases end up with. The example I was given was the crushed scouter hand with Saiyan Saga Vegeta. If not for Bluefin telling Tamashii/Bandai about how popular the over 9000 quote was, we never would have gotten that. So it sounds like Bandai makes the products primarily for Japan and will incorporate American elements into them to cater to our market better.
I actually got to speak with one of the lead product developers who was going around with the iPad asking people to take the poll and again I mentioned Majin Buu. He basically just said yes Majin Buu would be very cool...but there are many versions! Going off of what I mentioned earlier about market research/R&D, it would seem like it's a tough decision to determine which Buu to release. Some people like Fat Buu, some like Super Buu, etc. I told him that I communicate with the collector community and there is a lot of demand to have him (specifically kid buu) as the final representation of the third main villain.
I also just started throwing out names of other characters we would love and he said I am very knowledgeable about Dragonball Z haha.
And as was mentioned earlier in this thread by Silrian, Tamashii/Bandai are ultimately going to release the figures that they feel very confident will sell (just like with any business). Fan requests are all well and good but it's really the last factor that goes into all this. It's all about costs. Just like "sex sells," saiyans sell haha.
And there you go, might as well put up new polls that leave the small stuff out, cause it's not getting here. If they have trouble believing Nappa would sell, or the Android Twins? Yeah, let's just say I've forgone my want for someone like Zarbon. Even Tien and Yamcha, who I personally see on nearly the same level as Krillin, seem to be a long shot now, as I have little faith Tamashii/Bandai would be confident in their sales capacity. Maybe they'll change attitude a bit in a few years, because the good thing is that the line is clearly doing well.

Oh and the Saiyaman picture is an old fake and if Im not mistaken it originated as an april fool's joke.
Anyway, I said I'd buy Nappa but I gotta hand it to Tamashii, I wouldn't buy him if he's super expensive... Cell's original release price is as high as I'm going from now on. So, yeah, I've kinda lost hope for Nappa tbh (and with him, all large characters).
Sounds like they might let the outcome of the west and east coast polls give the deciding vote for who's to come next, so I'm definitely expecting a Buu period release after Normal Goku (unless the twins do manage to pop out in between). Maybe, if the polls are very clear, they might still change their mind about Buu. I mean, I just found out via Sci-Fri that they're contemplating a figuarts Lord Zedd release and that's not only a villain, it's a villain that doesn't exist in Japan! So, I wouldn't give up hop on Buu yet.

I'm still going to stick with the line as they are the best Dragon Ball figures ever and as long as the line continues for awhile who knows which characters we might see. Just got to have a little patience and faith that our favorites will someday be made Had no idea the Saiyaman pic was a April Fool's joke. Well it is a bit late but I guess it got me lol

Whatever continues to be released, I will be sure to support the line as best as I can.
I'd actually be interested in Nappa if they DO release him. The most simplest thing I can imagine them doing is including 3 faces (Over 9000 face, cocky smirk and normal power-up scream face) and 4 hands (Two fists, 1 two-finger pose for blowing up the city and a ki-blast hand like the one he used when he killed Piccolo).
Hell, even if they sold him for $100, I'd still buy him.

Hell, even if he was 300 I'd still buy him. Nappa is technically a Saiyan character too. Fingers crossed!

Really, 300? I'd like to have Nappa, but I will admit, 70 is about the max I'm willing to pay up. And that much only if he's in his pre-damaged armoured form. If he's in the naked SDCC form my max price is lower. So having said that, being someone who explicitly mentions Nappa as a want, I can see how Tamashii's like "mmmm, yeah, this is risky business".

Much like any other Bandai series, with workmanship getting better over the years, a new series being launched and become the successor of the previous line. Hopefully that won't be the case for the Figuarts for at least a while, or it's successor series will share the same scale so it won't matter.
I do hope for Bandai to come to a realization that most of as might be fed up with the regular generic releases of Super Saiyans and similar characters, and give as something a bit different for a change. As a recent example Banpresto statue lines HQDX, HSCF, SCultures and Bandai Real Works all share a great and unique character selection, with characters like yamcha, tien, raditz, first form frieza, kid gohan, saiyan saga goku, etc. of course a Figuarts release requires much more work to be invested on the part of Bandai, production plastic molds, engineering, etc. I can just hope that Bandai will try to go more towards that direction of character selection in the future.

Nappa was really the only figure I was looking forward to. I don't know how successful the Godzilla line is compared to the DBZ line, but they seem to have no problems releasing $200+ Godzilla figures, so I don't see the problem with Nappa costing more.
